Would it matter to you, do you think? And if so, why?

Don't care. A man is a man, what's most important is that he is happy, with good morals and a strong sense of purpose.

I came in to ask what kind of gay question was this. I then saw who the OP was and immediately knew he was taking a tally on future grooming subjects.

Define Effeminate? Is he gay? Or is he not just a confident, cocky, brash dude you'd consider masculine or alpha? Honestly I wouldn't care, but If I had my choice I'd rather raise him in a way that allows him to be both. To be able to be confident, brash, able to take risks when it called for it, but also be able to be soft, compassionate and nurturing. If he was gay I wouldn't care either...That's my son, and I'm not going to let his personal choices effect our relationship.

I'm beating the gay out of him if he comes out that way.

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

That's lovely. I don't think it's a choice in any case. Nobody chooses to be something which other people really dislike.

Who cares what other people like or dislike. That's the problem with the world. Be yourself...If someone chooses not to fuk with you they know where they can go.

Maybe it's getting better with regard to the dislike? I think effeminate men used to be more common. Maybe nowadays they are more likely to give the tranny life a shot (I know, still a man, don't @FarmersSon me redraider86)? Growing up my wife got her hair cut by a guy that was a bit effeminate. I met him a few times, really nice man. He volunteered for various things, played the organ in church, etc. Never married or had kids. He lived in a really conservative area with a religious conservative family so maybe closeted gay? Not necessarily though, some hetero dudes are effeminate, too.

No difference in value to me, but If I was choosing for my son, I would choose masculine because I think it would potentially result in an easier life. Easier isn't necessarily better, of course, but when I step back and think about it I always come back to thinking life's hard enough already, I'm going to hit the easy button as often as I can. I think it would be easier for me to relate to a masculine son, and I think it would be easier for him to make friends and relate to more people. I agree with you though, I don't think it's a choice.

I agree too, actually. I'm not the most masculine tool in the box but I think on balance, life would be easier if I was a 'regular dude'. But then, I wouldn't be me. Your wife's hairdresser sounds really nice. I hope he was happy. I expect he must have faced some challenges in his life.

I have a son and a daughter. I don't care about any of that chit, so long as they are healthy and happy. That's all that matters to me.

Either the gay comes out or he dies.

I'd get on better with a son like me rather than a typically masculine one, probably. Which is why I'd probably prefer a girl anyway.

Someone's never been to a grocery store in the American south. I've seen kids get the black beat off them for acting up in public and it sure didn't make them beta or passive
