Don't care. A man is a man, what's most important is that he is happy, with good morals and a strong sense of purpose.

Define Effeminate? Is he gay? Or is he not just a confident, cocky, brash dude you'd consider masculine or alpha? Honestly I wouldn't care, but If I had my choice I'd rather raise him in a way that allows him to be both. To be able to be confident, brash, able to take risks when it called for it, but also be able to be soft, compassionate and nurturing. If he was gay I wouldn't care either...That's my son, and I'm not going to let his personal choices effect our relationship.

I'm beating the gay out of him if he comes out that way.

All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

I met him a few times, really nice man. He volunteered for various things, played the organ in church, etc. Never married or had kids. He lived in a really conservative area with a religious conservative family so maybe closeted gay? Not necessarily though, some hetero dudes are effeminate, too. That's lovely. No difference in value to me, but If I was choosing for my son, I would choose masculine because I think it would potentially result in an easier life. Easier isn't necessarily better, of course, but when I step back and think about it I always come back to thinking life's hard enough already, I'm going to hit the easy button as often as I can. I think it would be easier for me to relate to a masculine son, and I think it would be easier for him to make friends and relate to more people. I agree with you though, I don't think it's a choice.
