Any of you guys jog?
I run about 25 miles a week. Usually roads but sometimes hit the track if the weather is nice (more bitches there).

Yeah, over time i get bored with lifting( over 20 years) so i cross train( many sports) and go for runs at a moderate long distance speed.
The only time it messes up your joints is if you are not educated in how to run, and are genetically prone to issues to begin with.
it is a fun challenge to lower your 5k and 10 k times.

Have been jogging/running for 20 years. No idea why people do it indoors on stupid treadmills when running outdoors is GOAT.
Never had an injury until now. Got fukkin shin splint in my right leg that hurts like fukk when I run. Going to have to take some time off I guess which isn't going to be good. Anyone know whether it's a terrible idea to run through shin splints?

Sort of. I jog around indoors for 30 minutes in the morning, wearing socks and barefoot. It started when i began cleaning my house in the mornings. I'd do this and that typically quickly. It later progressed to exercise. Now I just jog and clean the house, along with reaching my Apple watch exercise goal of 30 minutes of exercise. Since I do the jogging in socks or being barefoot I haven't had issues with my knees or other parts of the body. I suspect though if I jogged outside in shoes I'd develop problems.

I've started jogging again. Used to do 3-4 miles every morning with my dog. But since my dog passed away last year I didn't have the motivation. Just started again a few weeks ago, but pushed myself to hard. I was donig a hilly 5.5 miles a day right off the bat, but developed patellar tendinitis and needed to take a week off. Back at it now but easing into it. I did invest in some really good running shoes which makes A WORLD of different for the feet and joints, as does good socks.
