I like the Scandinavian and Italian depending on which colour I start with. I used to try the fried liver a lot but I really don't get it anymore at my level. I turned the Scandi into a Danish gambit against this miscbrah but only managed to get a draw out of it in the end. Not really used to playing that gambit though but I thought he was the guy who likes weird openings lol.

I'm just above average smart and like to play a few hours every week. If you can start at 1000 elo because you're not a low IQ idiot then you should easily get 1300+ just from making less mistakes and playing more within a few months.

It does help me to play a few of the same openings repeatedly to get more familiar with certain moves and positions.

I'm around 1200 elo. But I hardly ever play. Like twice a year when drunk lol I do watch the occasional Gothamchess or Hikaru video on YouTube though. So that at least made me not do some complete dumb chit in the opening.

1750 on lichess is probably around 1400-1500 on chess.com and it matters whether you play rapid or blitz as well. I can't stand that autistic Japanesee ****g0t but gotham is alright. Personally I like agadmator. He might be a bit more boring but I like his style and I also prefer pro games over noob games and making fun of them.

Put a follow not sure if that's enough. I'm not really too familiar with that chit I just play with one friend regularly and that's it. We should play later this week.

Learn the basic endgame mating techniques. (2 bishops as well as bishop + Knight isn’t necessary at first)
Learn King Pawn vs King (pawn endgames in general is great to know)

Learn the fundamentals. Open with center pawns, get all knights and bishops out asap as well as castling in the process. Rooks and queen for endgame.

Don’t leave pieces hanging (undefended)

Practice tactics.

If you master endgame all you need to do is gain a small advantage, trade down evenly and finish with the endgame technique.

Don’t focus much on memorizing openings early on.

A guy named chessnetwork on youtube has a good beginner to masters series. I like him because he explains his thought process. He’s more of a positional player than tactical.

lol I prefer Gotham for sure. But it's interesting watching someone like Hikaru who is just thinking on a completely different level and hardly ever loses online. He is super arrogant and cocky though. And even he gets crushed by Magnus.

I play a little, but never ranked play. I’m no master, that’s for sure. I tend to have trouble once I’ve gained control of the board, and what’s left is chasing the king around with a couple pieces. I need more practice at solidifying the wins. I’ve gotten good at early board control, but that doesn’t mean much if you can’t bring home the win. :/

I'm 1700 on chess.com for rapid and daily games. I don't play blitz or bullet because I play while doing other things. I'm currently playing 21 daily games at a time.

1700 on lichess is like 1200 on chess.com. No hate, it's just how it is, lichess is softer and has in my opinion more cheaters.

You need to at least be able to win rook and king vs. rook and pawn and king vs. king at intermediate level imo. If you can trade down to a winning end game it should be easy to mate them.

The chess website might have a decent enough algorithm to detect cheating early. But in theory you could make an unlimited amount of new accounts wincel style and keep ruining the experience for others.
