Do you want to have kids ?

For those who have kids. Care to share what's your experience and for those who dont want kids, what's your reasoning.

Survey states: A majority (56%) of non-parents younger than 50 who say it’s unlikely they will have children someday say they just don’t want to have kids. ( This survey is taken around 2021)

I love kids but I just dont think is for me. If maybe I found the right partner in life, maybe I'll have kids but I am more leaning to not wanting one.

Only with you OP

Most women want kids so theres alot of peer pressure but having kids under pressure is not the ideal scenario so it would be beneficial to be okay with not having them so if it happens it stems from a healthy place when the time is right. Its for you and your therapist to work on that.
If you rush into settling down thats okay too, just not ideal. Nobody is never ready enough to be a parent.

I reckon this "not wanting kids" "maybe not for me" is just you being in a situation where thats not possible rn & try to tell yourself you wouldnt want them bitches anyway.

Currently no, but I think being with the right woman (5+ years LTR / wife) who had that as their dream, coupled with being in a great financial situation or perhaps close to retirement, could push me into opting for it.

Current LTR wants kids around the time that I'll be 35-37. Seems like the optimal time, if ever, to do so.

It's really kind of weird – at least for me.

I didn't want kids, wife talked me into one. Love the hell out of her and would be wrecked if something happened to her, but absolutely no interest in having another.

same as with women getting baby rabies , eventually Men will want to have a child, its biological. there is no escaping it.

if you don't want kids now , believe me 100% you will want at least one child by the time you are turning 50….it will become all life consuming. ask me how I know.

Very much so. It’s one of my long term goals in life. I’m not prepared to start a family any time soon, but I feel it’s so important to the point where raising kids is the ultimate objective in life. My parents kinda fuked up but I turned out better than I should’ve so I feel my purpose is to correct the course of this lineage (srs). I want to be 75 years old with a couple successful grown kids close by and my grandkids running around the house all the time. That will be my legacy. Family.

It’s funny because I’m not a particularly “kid-friendly” person. I don’t have much patience for other people’s children but whenever I’m around them they seem to gravitate towards me and feel safe in my presence. Not sure what it is.

I don't want kids. It's one of those things I've just known for years. Nothing about them seems to bring me happiness (I have a lot of nieces and nephews). This doesn't even account for pros like more money, freedom and less stress in life without kids.

Yes I know I'd regret it if I don't end up having kids. The thought of my bloodline ending with me isn't something I'm happy about.

True. It's despicable as fuk the child-hating antinatalism that goes on on out culture now. People see kids as burden to their own personal happiness , as if people who DO have kids willingly sign up for punishment and stress.

I've also noticed a lot of people who decide not to have kids are usually level-headed enough to where they should be the ones making offspring for this planet, not the knuckle-dragging breeder types taking over.

DolphinPilot you are wise.

I agree with you. I noticed way too many on public where kids behaving badly and the parents are just right in front of them not even paying attention to their kids at all and just let them do whatever they want. Worse the parents just sit there and watch their kids behave badly and not say anything or do anything.

build an army with a few kids that will probably grow up to roll their eyes at about everything you tried to tell them as they assimilate into modern society?

I believe you did mentioned in some thread that your wife is heatherlynn and that you met her thru bb.com. Also that you have sex with someone cousin or something. lol

I swear I read that comment somewhere . I believe on one of my thread "where did you meet your dates or significant other"
