Should I purchase a pack of pet rats from a breeder ot go into a chain pet store

Really want a warmblooded pet animal. I cant have a dog and my place is too small for a cat imo. I'm thinking a gang of rats. Someone told me they're kinda like dogs.

They're just like having tiny dogs. Go with the breeder's rats, they'll be healthier and warmer to humans. Be prepared though, they're fragile and prone to illness, and they're exotic pets so their vet bills ****ing suck. Otherwise they're amazing animals, genuinely top tier pets
