Sextortion Scams Using ‘Deepfakes‘

It was only a matter of time.

I remember like 2 years ago some app called reface was trending and me and my gf were using it to make dumbass gifs to send eachother, using the apps ai to do face swaps. But they looked alot more real like deep fakes.

It was all fun and games til I put her face on some bikini bitches tik tok body and was like uhhh yeah this is a crazy rabbit hole someone could go down, they looked pretty convincing for a free phone app. Now imagine what the real deep fakers using actual good software are gunna do.

damn I was already wary of putting my pic on the internet this takes it into a whole different dimension.

I remember when that woman that created wickr refused to show her face online and was wearing sunglasses so the algorithm wouldn't catch her face.

If it becomes popular then nobody will think nudes are real when they see them. And nobody will care unless a chick herself is sending you the nudes.

And even if those are fake it still doesn't matter. The impact of being sent nudes was always purely psychological; a mating call. The actual nude photos themselves were just icing on the cake.

Nothing new. I've had someone contact me telling me they had pics of me jerking off which is kind of impossible. They send me a pic of some random photo with no face trying to say it was me. I guess now they could just AI put my face on it or something. So I was like "send it" and otherwise wouldn't respond. Even if they did have my face on it, not going to send them money because to me, giving them money is more embarrassing plus it might help someone living in a 3rd world country and I'd hate that even more.
