Lost gains, feeling demotivated (srs)

Recently had a bout of food poisoning which resulted in repeated bouts of projectile vomiting and barely eating anything for 3 days

Been 2 weeks since I lifted and diet has been inconsistent at best. Lost size

Chit like this seems to keep happening. Food poisoning, flu, covid, injuries, 1 month holiday, etc.

It’s starting to make me lose interest in lifting, because I never make progress. I’m always just “trying to get back to where I was”. Always have to reduce weight and get brutally sore for the next 3 days.

Don’t know what I’m expecting to hear, probably more of a vent than anything. Used to love lifting so much, but I’m so goddamn tired of these setbacks
*Deadlifts pants after taking a chit crew*
*Typos can go fucl themselves crew*
*Nice miscer crew*
*Loves reps, hates negs crew*
*Faps before workout crew*
*12+ hours of sleep crew*
*Faps during workout crew*
*Hates onions crew*
*Faps after workout crew*
*No fap crew*

It’s hard to make the kind of progress we wanna see.

But it shouldn’t stress you out. You should enjoy it.

pretty true...think of the money people spend forcing themselves to eat 200g protein daily for decades, supplements, gym membership, etc. then you have compounding interest and opportunity costs on top of it. just stay relatively lean and get some free exercise.
