IT’S BEEN 30 YEARS SINCE FOOD ATE UP THIS MUCH OF YOUR INCOME
The last time Americans spent this much of their money on food, George H.W. Bush was in office, “Terminator 2: Judgment Day” was in theaters and C+C Music Factory was rocking the Billboard charts.

Believe it not, 24k is nothing to the Army. They fluctuate in size all the time, especially when preparing for a new kind of war since they’re usually reshaping unit manning needs and at times getting rid of certain/useless units. Your average soldier won’t see a difference other than the trannys. If anything, it’s a warning sign that we’re probably about to officially enter a war before the election. (Super Ded fkn Srs)

The amount of crying this place does over routine business fluctuations, layoffs, closings etc is hysterical.
The current economy kicks the crap out of anything the orange idiot put forth. Better GDP, better unemployment, better stock market, Trumpflation's ass kicked, normal interest rates, etc.

Disingenuous to suggest Trump triggered inflation. Covid was the initial cause, and Biden has absolutely not solved it.
Are you honestly supporting Biden?
The stock market is up because companies based in the US are doing well, specifically just a small handful of companies, it has nothing to do with Biden. In fact, Trump's tax cuts provided an advantage for US based companies and helped R&D budgets, resulting in better products and a more competitive ledger.

Inflation started in March 2021. No president can impact inflation within 6 months let alone a month or two. Biden made inflation worse but Trump 100% caused the majority of it.

US Army bosses have announced plans to slash 24,000 jobs - equivalent to five percent of its forces - in a move it claims will help prepare the nation for the next major war.
The cuts will mainly be in already-empty posts - not actual soldiers - including in jobs related to counter-insurgency that swelled during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars but are not needed as much today. About 3,000 of the cuts would come from Army special operations forces.
At the same time, however, the plan will add about 7,500 troops in other critical missions.
These will include air-defense and counter-drone units and five new task forces around the world with enhanced cyber, intelligence and long-range strike capabilities.
According to an Army document, the service is 'significantly overstructured' and there aren't enough soldiers to fill existing units. The cuts, it said, are 'spaces' not 'faces' and the Army will not be asking soldiers to leave the force.
Instead, the decision reflects the reality that for years the Army hasn't been able to fill thousands of empty posts.
While the Army as it's currently structured can have up to 494,000 soldiers, the total number of active-duty soldiers right now is about 445,000. Under the new plan, the goal is to bring in enough troops over the next five years to reach a level of 470,000.
The planned overhaul comes after two decades of war in Iraq and Afghanistan that forced the Army to quickly and dramatically expand in order to fill the brigades sent to the battlefront. That included a massive counter-insurgency mission to battle al-Qaida, the Taliban and the Islamic State group.
Over time the military's focus has shifted to great power competition from adversaries such as China and Russia, and threats from Iran and North Korea. And the war in Ukraine has shown the need for greater emphasis on air-defense systems and high-tech abilities both to use and counter airborne and sea-based drones.

I can see you're not really familiar with US economics and that's fine.
Trump didn't add $8T to the debt - the debt was triggered by loans and welfare paid to people due to Covid restrictions. The money was printed to keep things afloat while the US was "shut down"; the key question is who shut everything down to that extent? Shutdown options were left to the states, Trump allowed the states to have differing policy on closures. In most liberal states, the lockdown and restrictions remained in place FAR longer than they ever should have, which is where the bulk of money was printed. It's a result of leftist politicians who demanded shutdowns for an unreasonably extended period of time. Had the right leaning leaders had their way, the printing would have been far less.
Ignorant to pawn that off on Trump.
Second, the fed doesn't operate under president command. Sure, you can see that Trump tried to apply pressure but you must have missed the fed's very crystal clear response that as always-they operate based on lending needs and not pressure from any politician, including the president. The fed uses printing to attempt to control interest rates, which results in some level of control over inflation.
Again, not Trump.
Yes, Biden needs to go. I think Bill Barr recently said it best; Trump is a bit like Russian roulette with the country, but Biden is suicide. With the current matchup, I'd vote republican, but neither is ideal.

Yes Biden made it worse with his covid bill. But the facts are that inflation was really only out of control for a year or so. Compare that to the inflation of the 70s/80s. The Fed has done a masterful job.
And yes both options suck for sure. It's hard to believe these are our options.
