I like the ones who do max incline, then grip the handles and lean back.

thats not so bad. I guess it does something but it looks stupid.

What I find idiotic are the barbell humping thing along with the giant ropes you make go up and down.

Barbell exercise is fine but people look like tryhards taking up 20ft of gym space because they wanna play with rope.

They're also low impact so older folks can use them too
So go outside to use them or for a swim which is far more beneficial

There are dozens of exercises you can do that take up a third of the space. Ropes are just obnoxious and inconsiderate.

Thing is they literally don't take up any room. A FIB bench takes up more gym space than battle ropes lol
Not the ones around here, there are dozens of exercises that take up much less space that work the same muscles.

Bro battle ropes are 30,40, or 50 ft..wtf are you talking about??

Barbell hip thrusts is a meme exercise. That somehow got taken seriously. People do it becasue they think it grows their glutes. They do it becasue you can feel the squeeze right there, and they think that means it's working.

In reality, the range of motion is so small, and you don't get to load the muscle under max stretch. So in terms of being an effective exercise for your glutes, there are way better options out there.
It's also a pain to set up. Not worth it. Better off doing high step ups, elevated lunges, and good ol full range of motion squats.

Doing hip thrusts is like doing half of the top half of a bicep curl.

The worst thing about them is becasue it got memed into reality thanks to social media infulencers, these weak 115lb girls are taking up power racks at the gym!

It makes it so they are essentially doing nothing. If you lean back from your arms at max incline, you are just removing weight from your body and moving your legs with just enough speed to keep up. Retarded AF
