Here's a list of "antisemitic" things South Dakota just made illegal

Blatant violation of the 1st amendment (and several others) + there are only about 300 jews in South Dakota, but we all know that Republican politician's slavish devotion to their masters has no limit.

I mean you just linked to a state department definition of anti-semitism.

Are you really going to make me google for whatever law they passed or can you link the actual point of your post.

No apparently they just updated the definition but it’s still legal to say whatever you want. But as a business it is still illegal to be prejudiced against employees and customers so it’s for legal definition in those situations from what I can understand.

Bunch of fake news tbh

Here’s a quote. And yes it’s just a bunch of posturing horse chit or maybe a sign of things to come, but no speech was made illegal. Fake news.

“(There’s) no contradiction whatsoever. And the reason why is because this law, on its face, but also … in the text, does not in any way contradict or limit freedom of expression. This does not outlaw expressions of anti-semitism, whether the anti-semitism touches on Israel, or whether the anti semitism touches on Jews – Jews are evil, Jews control the world, whatever it is,” Carr said. “What the definition does is simply define it as anti-semitism and now, what you do with that, well, maybe it’s nothing more than condemnation. And, incidentally, condemnation is exactly what the First Amendment contemplates. The entire basis of the First Amendment is that we meet bad speech not with censorship and punishment, but with good speech.”

No, you illiterate simple-minded faaggot. This act being codified into law means anyone contracting with the state or hoping to is now not allowed to do anything on that list. It also opens up businesses and business owners to massive lawfare (civil and criminal) if they are found to have any views critical of Israel or jews. It's a clear violation of constitutional rights.

Of course grug brained dipchits like you just say "herp derp fake news" as our rights are stripped away.

I know you're just still mad about getting negged, but your impotent rage won't magically make you literate.

It’s already illegal to express racist or bigoted opinions as a business and its policy to not hire people stating those things for govt already. and that includes towards jews. It will still go to court like always and unless you were a dumb fuk who fired someone while saying Hitler should have won you will be just fine, cuz again you would get sued for that already.

Click bait meaningless crap

Too fukking retarded to link to what the actual context was

Can we see the bill? If what’s being indicated in this thread is true I will call my state senator, but all I see are definitions of antisemitism and some bullet points on a word doc.

In b4 something something rabbi, I just want to see the actual bill criminalizing speech and if it’s provided I’ll act accordingly

There’s no bill.

They added a legal definition of antisemitism. Being anti-Semitic is perfectly ok still unless you are using discriminatory business practices.

State house bills are incredibly easy to find, but I'm happy to hold your hand if you'll actually do something.

The state bill doesn't really say anything you say it says. It adopts this working definition of antisemitism. It's redundant because current laws already cover it without specifically isolating antisemitism. The bill is just virtually signalling.

Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.”

You think your Senator gives a damn about what you think, cuck? Your senator has probably been to Israel and kissed the wall, and that is where his loyalty lies.

Here's a list of things that are considered "antisemitic" by the South Dakota… administration?

Oh, and you missed a couple, OP.
Whyever would you do that?

•Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of a radical ideology or an extremist view of religion.

•Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective — such as, especially but not exclusively, the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.

Here it is since you dont want to post it. This is the important part - what is the definition adopted by the international holocaust remembrance alliance?

"antisemitism" has the same meaning as the working definition of antisemitism adopted by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance on May 26, 2016, "

As I said earlier' this is the definition. The examples given are not part of the law. They are just the opinion of the Alliance.

"Antisemitism is a certain perception of Jews, which may be expressed as hatred toward Jews. Rhetorical and physical manifestations of antisemitism are directed toward Jewish or non-Jewish individuals and/or their property, toward Jewish community institutions and religious facilities.”"

24.383.25 99th Legislative Session 1076

2024 South Dakota Legislature

House Bill 1076

ENROLLED

An Act

ENTITLED An Act to require the consideration of the definition of antisemitism when investigating unfair or discriminatory practices.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of South Dakota:

Section 1. That chapter 20-13 be amended with a NEW SECTION:

In reviewing, investigating, or deciding whether an alleged violation of this chapter is antisemitic, the Division of Human Rights must consider the definition of antisemitism. For the purposes of this chapter, the term "antisemitism" has the same meaning as the working definition of antisemitism adopted by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance on May 26, 2016, including the contemporary examples of antisemitism identified therein.

Nothing in this section may be construed to diminish or infringe upon any protected right under U.S. Const., amend. I or S.D. Const., Art. VI, § 5, or to conflict with any federal, state, or local discrimination law.
