I'm doing entry level stuff at a bank but quickly got a promotion - after a year. I know a guy working here for 12 years and he only just got promoted to the same level I did

Here's a backstory of my career so far:

-First impressions of me by my training manager was that I needed "extra help" but would come good
-My manager was super strict with me and I got into trouble when I first started because I didn't understand **** and asked her and others for help
-Fast forward a year, I'm one of the best in my job, whenever she needs something doing, she'll ask me
-Created a training pack for my team regarding a particular subject, she liked it so much, it got recommended to the other teams and they all used my material for training
-I have been asked to train a new starter recently because they were ass. The manager who asked me barely even knows me, but my name is now out there. In a corporate environment, it's more who you know not what you do.


I'm working towards another promotion, there's only 2 roles I can think of above my role and that's a team manager and a change delivery manager. The current team managers manager I've been told is an ******* though. A micromanager who probably has a humiliation fetish. Whether or not he's good at his job is to be confirmed since he's relatively new. But what's the incentive to be a manager when the people below you scratch their ass all day, never learn from their mistakes etc. some of my colleagues are straight up retarded and never fail to surprise me with some of the **** they get up to

Surely a team manager is the worst role possible? Depending on your manager above you, you could have constant heat and unrealistic demands etc.

Give up your core values and any sense of integrity.

Completely give up any idea of the fundamental golden rule, human compassion, and empathy. Pretend to be a Christian but absolutely do not live like it. People are your tool for your own success.

Do not engage in any emotional relationships. Use sex and romantical lies against women.

Every human is a tool for your personal use.



Recommendation: money will never provide you the satisfaction raw human compassion will. It is imaginary numbers on a screen, and subordinates would rather you die a horrible death than have any positive feeling for you but they will never say it.

Your friends will be as temporary as the money you are making and just as fake.

It is a waste of a life and only propagates the collective insanity of the species.

We are not intelligent.

My advice is quit and become an entrepreneur.

Working a corporate job is a great way to lose your soul and forget who you truly are as a man (ded fkin srs).
