What do you do when you can't tell anyone anything

This may seem miniscule, but I'm doing taxes for someone (Person A) in the family. I told another person (Person B) in my family, very close to me, who I'm also doing taxes for that I didn't go to work today. They don't live together, but they're close in relations, I guess. During discussion about taxes & social security & a bunch of chit I don't really know, person A asks me if I worked today.

Misc, why the fuk would person A ask a question like that. Granted, we rarely talk, and it's the most discussion we've had in a while.

Do you think person B told A about my business?

It's no big deal, but it rubbed me the wrong way, thinking my business is being talked about no matter how big or small.

Person B is supposed to be one of the few people I could trust in my life. & over the years I feel it's slipping away to where I don't tell them much beyond the basic.

Person B is also associated to someone I want zero to do with.

Do you think it was genuine curiosity?

Hard to say, sometimes giving energy to thoughts can make them seem more real.

On the other hand if your intuition is sharp, then chances are someone has been sharing your business (but maybe it was in a non derogatory way).

I have very few people I share private chit with. My sister, (unnamed miscer), my brother.

Mind you, only reason I'm doing taxes for person A is because person B told them I did theirs. It may seem minute in this sense but it leads to info leaking. I expect everything I tell certain family to be public knowledge after a couple days. To cut it short, point is, you cannot confide in anyone. Or at least I can't.

It's something I swish my drink to.

I have felt this feeling in the past. Fair enough and understandable.
