San Fran residents protest probation sentence in 94-year-old Asian woman's assault
Outraged community members in San Francisco rallied Friday morning outside the Hall of Justice to oppose the probation sentence of a man who pleaded guilty to assaulting a 94-year-old woman in 2021.
The case of Anh “Peng” Taylor’s stabbing got a lot of attention as it was one of many unprovoked attacks on Asian American Pacific Islander seniors during the pandemic.
The suspect, 35-year-old Daniel Cauich, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to probation. But the sentence cannot be imposed until both parties sign an agreement as to the details of the sentence.
District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, and those gathered to rally for the victim, say this isn’t justice.
“When we see our seniors being violently attacked and there be no actual consequences for it,” said Jenkins. “Yes, we are going to come together and we are going to stand together against what is happening.”
Taylor survived the attack in front of her Post Street apartment in the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood.
Friday’s rally, which also included two mayoral candidates — Mark Farrell and Daniel Laurie — as well as supervisor Matt Dorsey, became heated when counterprotesters showed up, saying the case was being politicized. The counterprotesters called themselves an ad hoc group of lawyers.

Im confused why only probation for a super violent offense, the person committed a violent UNPROVOKED attack on an elderly frail person, that shows they are threat to society why probation only? Makes no sense.

So really the question is how are you ok with this and why is the left making cold, calculated moves to stay in power by stepping on their own citizens in favor of more votes from illegals?

I will always LOL at the way “Stop Asian Hate” suddenly stopped one day
Entire NYPD should go on strike. You'll see then how quickly the mayor changes his tone.

At this point, Liberals will never wake up. It takes a certain kind of defect in the human brain to continue to endorse this lunacy.
If you're a sexual predator like RapeyPat or MinisterofChildLust you want politicians who believe in taking rights away from parents and normalizing degenerate sex education to kids as early as possible.
If you're an obese mentally ill failure dependent on the state like bodhy you need a heavy handed government to steal from successful people to fund your gibs.
If you're a bitter dwarf with fetal alcohol syndrome like z4 you crave a government that hurts normal people and doesn't allow them to thrive because you can only feel normal if everyone else is brought down into the gutter with you.
We just have to collectively realize that all male liberals are simply spiteful mutants and we don't need to debate them (we already win every debate), we need to simply remove them from any and all levers of power by any means needed.

The stabber was severely mentally ill, and one of the provisions of probation is mandatory mental hospitalization for 10 years. He won't be back out on the street. I think people think it is a miscarriage of justice to imprison him because he is very mentally ill.

I've had a friend who was in both jail and psychiatric hospital (he had a psychotic episode in Norway), and he honestly said jail was better. It's easier to prove innocence than sanity. He said once you're committed and labelled with a mental illness it's very difficult to be taken seriously by the doctors.
You can choose to be a criminal, but not psychotic. Have you been to a mental ward? They're just black holes which suck in hope and happiness. Forgotten people who are a fraction of what they could have been if only people had been more caring and understanding.
In jail you can at least get treated like a human and pursue activities. In psychiatric hospital they seem to be happy once they've zombified you on anti-psychotics.
Prison = trapped physically.
Psychiatric ward = trapped physically, mentally, emotionally.
Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.
