Most overrated leisure activities
Live music shows - usually doesn't sound half as good as it does in studio, take away all the production stage bs and most live music is pure garbage. One of the most overrated activities of all time. Then with ticket prices these days, you're looking at a hundred bucks or more plus $10 drinks in a venu cramped like sardines with sweaty nasty people, just to see some crappy band. Hundreds of dollars for bigger acts.

Agreed on all. Add most movies in with TV as well.
Very much agreed on restaraunts and drinking/nightlife. Especially as you hit your 30's, all of that bullchit all seems the same to me. I've been to cheap restaraunts, I've been to fancy expensive places, and I don't really care about any of them. I'd go to a neat local, but less expensive place if out and about on vacation or something.
I will say that going to places like McDonald's, Subway, and Applebee's when traveling always makes me lol. I mean, how boring can one person be?

Also, the golfpill is that there's a 90 to 95 percent correlation between handicap and raw swing speed. Once you've played for a couple years and have the baseline skills, your scoring is literally just based on how hard you can hit the ball. Putting and chit don't actually matter. There's been a couple different studies done on this, but the r^2 on all of them is freakish.
And distance is essentially based on how flexibile your back is. More specifically, it's based on how far your shoulders can keep rotating your hips have reached a full turn.
I can literally watch you do one stretch, and determine what golf scores you will shoot before you ever pick up a club.

My answer to this question is "anything marketed toward females for couples to do".
So Fine Dining, cupcake shops, having a picnic, "Dinner and Drinks!!!", First Dates, etc.
Basically anything that is primarily for female benefit that males pay for and receive very little benefit from.

I actually agree. I kind of like live music in small venues though unless the band is garbage.
Iv'e been to a few concerts and they sucked. Chit tier sound, a bunch of losers who spent their entire wagie paychecks to be there acting like retards, etc

Concerts are meant for single people IMO, but at that rate might as well go to a music festival, would be cheaper and more interesting than a good seat at a AAA band/singer's show.
Comedy clubs are worth attending for specific people IMO.
Unless you "know" the people, women's sports are probably overrated to attend. Exception being ice skating and dancing, mostly due to sex appeal. But wouldn't go to one, would just watch on TV maybe.
IMO the statement "time spent wasted is not wasted time" is largely true. By this I mean, if you're going to a bar for no reason and with no other friends/family, primary goal is just to do it to do it, maybe get lucky, that's setting yourself up for an long drunk expensive blackout night of regret. If you go out with friends/family, or with a particular event that you're excited about, it's not wasted time.

Going to major league sports games, especially NFL.
You’re packed in a gigantic stadium around a bunch of fat obnoxious drunk cocksuckers. To be fair most of them are friendly, but there’s always wannabe tough guys trying to start chit, yelling and heckling. Then there’s the overpriced concessions, you’re basically getting raped for low quality food. I literally threw up last time I had a hot dog at an MLB game srs. And of course once the game is over there’s a mad rush to the exits so you’re packed like sardines trying to leave the stadium. And there’s the bottleneck traffic headed out of the parking lot. It’s just aggravating AF.
Minor leagues are cool because nobody really cares about the games since they're irrelevant. So the crowds are just there to spend an afternoon having a good time and it's 10x cheaper.

Sporting events. Concerts. And fine dining. All over-rated IMO.
I see golf listed here a lot. I don't play golf at all. The extent of my golfing might be some Top Golf or Putt Putt with my girl/friends. But golf as an activity still makes sense because you are actually outside doing something, competing against friends, etc.

In on weekly misc thread where people who enjoy their life are berated for doing so while miscers sit around depressed about other's happiness because they're socially autistic
If that were true then why did I shoot -2 with my longest club being a 5-iron(I've been scratch my whole life)
You score inside 100 yards, I've seen a million guys that can hit a ball 300 yards but can't break 82 even after years of practice
It's insane how hard it is to cleanly hit a little ball on the ground, much harder than a baseball flying 90mph

I had season tickets to a concert venue but I felt pressured to go to all of the concerts.
Surprisingly Post Malone was one of the best concerts I've seen in years. Alice in Chains would have been better with Layne but it was still good. Stone Temple Pilot's singer was surprisingly close to Scott Weiland's voice.
Still, the dopamine high you get from concerts from bands you love is insane. It's much better than doing alcohol or drugs, although of course a lot of people do those there. I keep it to just one drink and when they pass around you know what I don't do it.
Deftones and System of a Down are touring but the tickets are over $200. I mean c'mon they have to make these affordable, especially for bands which are 20 years old.

any kind of Forced Adult Socializing activity…..Bday Parties, Family Holiday meet-ups, Neighborhood BBQs…..the kind where people strain to awkwardly converse about the weather/sports until they can get some kind of connection going

I go to metal shows a few times a month. Tickets are usually around 30 bucks. They’re mostly at smaller venues which aren’t too full. The drinks aren't cheap but drinking isn’t necessary. The bands know how to make it a great experience that transcends just listening to the album. And by the end you’ve bonded with everyone in the audience and feel like you’ve just gone to battle together.
I’m sure there are other good music scenes too but I mostly know metal.
