The chronology of when and how Hitler started the war is not really taught. Most people don't truly know.

Let's look at the chronology

1. Hitler annexes Austria (is greeted by cheering crowds of people..majority of Austrians want to unite). Austrian government doesn't even resist.

2. Munich conference: French and British leaders sign treaty giving Czechloslovakia to Germany (without even consulting the czech). As far as I am concerned the allies are just as responsible here for this aggression.

3. Hitler and soviets both invade Poland

4. France and British declare war on Germany (but not soviets)

5. Soviets invade the Baltics and finland

6. France and British invade germany first (saar offensive).

7. Hitler finally invades France


I'm not downplaying the holocaust or anything because that obviously was phucked up and evil…but in terms of war and conquering europe…Hitler actions seem rather rational if not defensive in nature and no worse than Britain France or soviets
