I've never seen a conservative turn into a liberal or a liberal turn into a conservative purely from the debate itself.

Liberal: You are a ph cking dumb NeoCon who hates immigrants!

Conservative: Oh jeez, you made a compelling argument! Maybe being conservative is kinda stupid…


Exhibit 2:

Conservative: You are a immigrant loving loser who is going to destroy America!!

Liberal: Hrmmm, that was a very enlightening argument! I have nothing to say and I have decided to become conservative…



lmao the examples would never happen in real life or online life. Usually when someone switches politics, something happened in their life rather than the other side making a better argument.

In other words, arguing with the other side in politics is a total waste of time.

The tribalism part is funny to me, as if every single conservative share the exact same beliefs agreeing nothing a liberal believes and vise versa.

I mean come on, both sides have to share some beliefs.
