Both in the fridge. I used to keep the bread on the counter but I don't eat it quick enough and it gets moldy so I just stick it in the fridge.

Iβve never heard of putting bread in the fridge. Iβve known people who put it in the freezer if they donβt eat it before it goes bad.
As for ketchup⦠it says to refrigerate after opening. Not sure it gets any clearer.

Both go in the fridge for me. Ketchup tastes FAR better cold IMO and the bottle even says "refrigerate after opening". I keep bread in the fridge because it loses freshness too shortly after opening if you leave it in the cupboard.

Ketchup I put on top of the fridge.
Bread I put in a cabinet and usually only eat a few slices before the rest goes bad. Chit gets moldy fast nowadays, or maybe that's just because I lazy max with Wal-Mart groceries. Their milk will go sour a full week before the best by date.

bread in cupboard
ketchup in fridge.
also if you have things like potato chips and crackers and the like that go stale really quick. keep them in the fridge.
You dont even need to close the bag and they stay fresh forever because of the low humidity in there. I have a sleeve of saltines that are just sitting open for like a month in there and they are perfectly fresh tasting.
it dries out bread though.
