Dam, Aerosmith OFFICIALLY done!

https://x.com/Aerosmith/status/1819483168124072443

It's been a good run. RIP in peace

Aerosmith
It was 1970 when a spark of inspiration became Aerosmith. Thanks to you, our Blue Army, that spark caught flame and has been burning for over five decades. Some of you have been with us since the beginning and all of you are the reason we made rock ‘n’ roll history.

It has been the honor of our lives to have our music become part of yours. In every club, on every massive tour and at moments grand and private you have given us a place in the soundtrack of your lives.

We’ve always wanted to blow your mind when performing. As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months tirelessly working on getting his voice to where it was before his injury. We’ve seen him struggling despite having the best medical team by his side. Sadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible. We have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision - as a band of brothers - to retire from the touring stage.

We are grateful beyond words for everyone who was pumped to get on the road with us one last time. Grateful to our expert crew, our incredible team and the thousands of talented people who’ve made our historic runs possible. A final thank you to you - the best fans on planet Earth. Play our music loud, now and always. Dream On. You’ve made our dreams come true.

*For those who purchased their tickets through Ticketmaster, you will automatically be refunded – there is nothing further you need to do. For those who purchased via third-party resale sites such as SeatGeek, StubHub, VividSeats, etc. – please reach out to your point of purchase for more details.*

that's a shame. aerosmith was a great band. crazy to say it in the past tense like that.

they had epic songs in the 70s, they had fun ones in the 80s, and their tunes were hanging with the young generation in the 90s. their music videos were kinda on a different level from everyone else. they were kind of trailblazers in that way.

rip in peace

Damn IMO they should have retired a long time ago. Good band (before they started hiring professional songwriters…) but yeah something really bizarre about geriatric rockers up on stage in stilettos. I dunno…

yeah time always wins. I am just thinking though, Steven has been singing his entire life and for that to be taken from him, it must be rough.

Didnt even know theyd still been around the past 2 decades.

Haven't done anything worthwhile since the early 80s.

Lol.misc is seriously an organization of the most pathetic dudes. Almost every comment is negative. Bunch of incels who have accomplished nothing at all and just spew hate into the world to cope with your own misery.

Whether they're your cup of tea or not, you can't deny how legendary they are and what they accomplished. Ive never went out of my way to listen to Aerosmith, but every time I hear Stephen Tyler's voice on the radio it blows me away. The guys an absolute legend.

Hey, thought I'd PM you instead of posting in the thread.

I'm very sorry to hear about this. I know you guys were massive fans of the band.
You'll always have the memories of that brilliant concert down in Jacks with Procta and his wife.
Which one was your wife again?

Keep the chin up, I hear Air Supply are doing a tour soon.

P.S
I will post something in the thread about you being a Boomer and Steven Tyler being a peado but I won't mean it.

Their 80s and 90s radio rock was honestly pretty good for what it was IMO. It's pretty consistently listenable, I know people wanna hate on it to signal how much harder and more badass the stuff they listen to is. But as far as commercial blues rock goes, they did it pretty well tbh.
