Anyone else collect coins?

I subscribe to the Morgan, Peace, and Silver Dollars on the US Mint but I don't go insane with the grading and trying to get every version from 1879 etc.

The prices are a little high but it seems like they'd be unlikely to go down in the future since the supply is limited.

I mean I have all the 50 states quarters I started collecting as a little kid, and I have tons of varying gold and silver coins, bars and pieces.

Not really a collector in that way though. When I wanted to start collecting similar coins, premiums were so high that it turned me off. Might look into starting to buy pieces like this though.

The premiums are obscene on ASEs, Canadian Maples, etc. I can't justify paying it. Mentally I'm still stuck at $16 spot prices from pre-COVID.

Which series do you collect, or multiple?

Looking at the photo posted in the OP, you're basically overpaying for silver with an obsolete yet iconic press with the Morgan Dollar. Wouldn't do it and just buy Silver Eagles presses at a much better rate personally.

Yea which is why I only focused on deals and sites that offered lower premiums or sales. So I have a ton of random coins like all the country minted ones and all the way to scottsdale 10oz stackers, and so on.

Well it's definitely overpriced for the silver content.

I guess I figure it's hard for prices to go down once they've stopped minting the coin. Nobody's ever going to sell this stuff for less than they paid (IMO)
