How can you protect yourself from credit card fraud?
Every 1-2 years I get fraud on my credit card and this last time was the weirdest, I actually got email confirmations to my email address about orders I never placed, I think there was even the confirmation email to confirm your account with the store, the orders were placed with my name and credit card number but someone else's address.
This also happened on a card I use almost exclusively for monthly bills or unusually large purchases so I rarely use this card.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this?
One possible source I'm considering is that I run a business and have my name and address on hundreds of packages I send every month, could it be some of my customers using this? And even if they can get my name and address where are they getting my credit card number?
Can't these scumbags get a real job?

Cancel the card and get a new one
Then freeze your credit so nobody can apply for cards under your name.

Weird. Out of all the years I have used credit cards there has been only one time I was a victim of credit card fraud. Something must be up with the way you're handling your card.

I dealt with this last november. They got my information somehow, but thankfully not my social. Opened credit cards in my name and were sent to me. Had to put a lock on my credit through all the bureaus. They even opened up a high yield savings account in my name through chase. Some of the weirdest **** I've experienced and they got nothing out of any of it.

If you're even SEMI intelligent, using credit card is GOAT.
BRB pay off your CC monthly (sometimes bi-monthly for keks)
BRB CC pays ME thousands of dollars simply for using their card instead of cash
BRB never paid the credit card company a SINGLE PENNY IN FEES in 20 years
BRB been a cash cow for me for so long now.
BRB free money if you're not under 100IQ

Keep all of my credit cards maxed at all times
Can't commit fraud with my cards if I'm already at my credit limit

I get a new number every year. That way, if I ever bought something on a site that gets compromised it’s a good chance the card is no longer valid anyways.
