would the world be better without religion??

as I kid I would associate atheists with doom and gloom outlook

but it's better than being 'mr magical' and running around with a book telling everyone how great everything is

No need to wonder…Christianity brought Europe out of the dark ages. Remove it and the Western world is going back into the Dark Ages.

Remove God and people will still have all the tribalism and urge to follow. So you end up with people just “trusting the science” or accepting whatever narrative is handed to them, like thinking men can become pregnant. Without God you still have religion, just with little to none of the benefits that go along with it.

cheers, may I ask, are you pretty 'boned up' on religion (sorry for the word). if so, are all religions really all the same thing like Muslims and Christians? i honestly don't have a clue about either

No they aren’t all the same, but most religions are based on establishing and strengthening a relationship with God and becoming a better person. How they manifest and play out on a personal and societal level depends on many factors though.
