Is it normal to slam weights in the gym if you're training hard/heavy?

Is it?

Douchebag move IMO.

There's no reason to slam weights when using DBs since you should be using weights you can control, unless you're attempting a 1RM (but I've never attempted one outside of a major lift which = olympic bar).

If you're slamming the weights you're not able to control the decline and the weight so you should adjust. Maybe if you're training to failure, it might be acceptable but there should be a spotter there anyway. I can forgive it as long as you're not making obnoxious noises like you're climaxing in some bukkake porn or something.

The worst is when you're in the toilet busting out a poo and some douche slams the weights in the weights room. It sounds like a rocket attack off in the distance and it's annoying and upsetting. Next time you're using DBs, think of the poor soul in the toilet.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

Depends on the gym.

It's encouraged at some, it will get you banned from others
