why are electrolyte powders becoming trendy?
you dont need it unless your blood panel says you are low.

Hangovers.
You can be LOW on something, without being MEDICALLY DEFICIENT on something (requiring a prescription replacement)

Didn't realize it was a trend. It's really not that deep fr fr. If you've been sweating, drink a gatorade or a salty meal and keep hustlin

Covid and other stuff caused lots of dehydration and unless you know about magnesium, sodium and potassium, it is an easy way to drink yourself back to balance.

Useful if your going to be sweating a lot + not eating for a part of the day (golf, long runs, out on the boat for many hours with no snacks, etc)
People who drink them regularly in everyday life? lol just eat whole foods.

Not sure about a trend but all I know is I feel a million times better when I take in electrolytes routinely. Especially during the summer sweating my ass off working outside

It's just the new supplement trend.
People spend $ on it so they convince themselves their performance is better, more like a placebo effect.
People spend buku $ on what is essentially Gatorade powder.

Because people drink too much alcohol, have terrible diets, drink purified bottle water stripped of electrolytes and minerals it used to naturally have and are stupid enough to think a supplement will magically fix it.

Most are just koolaid. very little of any of the actual electrolyes.
People just paying a premium for watered down koolaid.
I get the dr berg ones that are 500 mg sodium, 1000 mg of potassium.
Only have them because I am moving to arizona and have to unload the moving truck by myself in the heat. going to need a bot more than koolaid for that task.

Cause Brawndo bought out the FDA. In a few years we'll be watering crops with Brawndo.
And Brawndo's got electrolytes.

I listen to the claims, i test out products on myself to determine if they are cost-effective, and then render a decision after several different attempts under different conditions.
It is the only way i can tell if a product works or i need to return it for a refund.

In general most people aren't drinking enough water, they know it, and they want a short cut.

Because the big ultranationals acquired electrolyte brands and are pushing them hard. Nestle acquired Nuun, Unilever acquired liquid IV, and LMNT is rumored to be on the shopping block so look for this market to continue to be pushed hard

It actually is the correct solution to get electrolytes in rather than guzzling water. Guzzling water will help a little if it flushes sodium if you have too much but it won't get you more potassium.
A lot of things are Jewish conspiracies but this one isn't. Most people really are severely dehydrated.
