Looks great in theory, the problem is in the actual times/places those villages exist theres limited or primitive access to a lot of things you take for granted now.

No bandaids, q-tips, or basic medical equipment. No heating/cooling systems. Your food is gonna be a lot blander, you cant just run to the store to pick up a shaker of pepper or some cantaloupe or a greek yogurt, if it's not produced in your village you wont see it much. Not that youd have a refrigerator to put things in anyway. Heck if you wanna make bread you have to bargain with the guy who's been milling the wheat all day, and what are you gonna offer? To cobble him a new pair of shoes?

Also enjoy your wifes hairy armpits and legs and her foul body stench. Disposable razors and deodorant arent a thing.

LOL @ thinking it's just relaxation and happy time living like an 11th century serf.
