Conservative ones would prosper and the democrat ones would struggle in general with maybe a few exceptions . Not even trying to start a political debate here, it's just reality.

Deep South states would struggle due to demographics. Maine and Vermont would struggle, rural AF and nothing to trade, old populations. Oregon would struggle since it has just one actual city. In the upper Midwest it's rural but they at least are self sufficient with food and/or have natural resources to sell. A couple more would be questionable due to losing a lot of population or being in a similar situation as Oregon.

some years ago I read a Jim Rogers book and he stated that the PNW(NorCal/Oregon/Washington) would be the place to be when the USA eventually breaks up

I think he called it Cascadia or Cascadia-Land or something like that

Liberal states would all struggle. Conservative states with high ethnic populations would struggle as well. Imagine a conservative state like Mississippi (but has a 40% black pop) telling their residents "Sorry, no more federal handouts". It would become "28 Days Later" overnight.

The likes of Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and the Dakotas would do well

California would BRUTALLY MOGG the Entire Western Half of the US. All the goods from China, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, etc are shipped and flown to California.
California would charge TexasCels and the entire US an arm and a LEG for those goods.

Texas would be a 3rd world country.. like 1% of majority of the wealth.. Look like a little storm and heat did to their whole power grid. Texas would end up getting taken back by Mexico and Texans would be refugees trying to sneak into neighboring country states

Panama Canal. Also Mexico is currently building a rival to the Panama Canal, which will surpass it in capabilities. At its narrowest point two ports on either side, large rail system in between, so goods go from being in the Pacific to leaving the Gulf of Mexico a couple hours later. Texas through the entire East Coast will benefit. Forget bottlenecks or ship size constraints of the Panama Canal.

Texas I think is the only self-sustainable state. Not looking forward to my country falling apart, even if liberals can be obnoxious, but if so - Texas would be fine.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

West coast states would suffer too much from an explosion of high crime and unless they took drastic action, they'd be overwhelmed. You're assuming the leading officials running the states would be able to crack down sufficiently to curb crime.

LMFAO, The Panama Canal and ALL CANALS are EXTREME BOTTLENECK and it GREATLY slows down shipments and make them EXPONENTIALLY MORE EXPENSIVE.

Blue states have become less interested in economic growth. Blue states tend to be more interested in identity politics and other similar issues. Taxes are some of the highest in the world in some blue states. Their court systems are biased and scary.

Red state have historically been poor. In the past companies and people were not all that interested in moving there. Companies and people did not trust the legal system in many red states. The courts were known for their corruption against outsiders. Red states used to be more interested in identity politics with skin color being a large concern.

Today, red states have changed. They want people to move there. Taxes are improved. The legal system is more fair to all. Many of them are rule of law states, which helps improve economic growth. It is hard to conduct business when crime is allowed to flourish. To encourage economic growth state agencies are less opposition to business.

I can imagine red states would do well in such a scenario. I hope it does not happen but sometimes I do wonder.

That is due to location not politics lol if America dissolved then CA would be run by the winners AKA not 2+ gendered, limp-wristed, gun-fearing libs.

The only reason that these people exist is due to the prosperity of America lol these people are not natural and could not exist on their own.

In hard times they die horrible deaths lol.

You ignored the superior system being built in Mexico I spent 99% of that post talking about. It's not a canal.
