What do you use to cook? Butter suggestions?

For a long time I thought using canola oil was healthier than butter. In fact, in nearly my whole adult life, I've stuck to either canola oil or extra virgin olive oil.

Lately my GF has been cooking for me, and she always uses regular butter, or garlic butter. Makes all foods so much better phark. Do you guys try to get like, unsalted kinds? Or some healthier variants?

You don’t really need anything. Fat from meat will stop sticking.
Joy!

Surprised brahs. Figured there'd be more butter representation. I know in carnivore diets people tend to coat like 99% of their cuisines in butter.

They had ribeyes on sale today, so I got some, but forgot to get butter lol. I'll just use extra virgin olive oil today.

I buy the big 1 ltr jars at an Indian grocery store and it tends to last me a while.

Other than than, I primarily cook in Olive oil. I used Avocado oil if I need a higher smoke point. Coconut oil is good for certain dishes, and sometimes I mix butter with avocado oil to keep the butter from burning. Sometimes I use toasted sesame oil as a finisher.

Indian grocery stores tend to have a wide selection of different oils in large portions for cheap. Spices as well. I almost never get oil from a regular grocery store.

If you use stainless steel you need oils or it will 100% stick.

I use olive oil or avocado oil. Butter will burn fast.
