Played magic last night

At my local game store.

For those who dont know, magic is a collectible card game similar to pokemon except its not gay, its expensive as fuk as well.

I got first place at the mini tournament.

My standings for mini tournaments at this game store are: 1st, 1st, 2nd, 1st.

There were 2 guys I competed against who are going to the regional championships, this should indicate how good I am, I think I have a future in it, I've also been playing for 25 years.

No, most of these guys I never met before, the doc actually called me today about that, she doesn't seem very concerned, with treatment its cured over 95% of cases, I'm just disappointed I get a sexually transmitted infection without having the benefits of enjoying sex.

I played magic so much throughout my chidhood. Up until 8th grade. Even went to tournaments and played. Then stopped playing as much besides with friends randomly because highschool was too busy for us.

Good times and a great game. Psychatog deck changed everything when I was playing.

Yea dude that game seriously took up so much free time back in the day. We had our whole neighborhood playing. We'd do our own drafts and tournaments for fun. So much money spent on packs and boxes of cards lol.

I'll never diss anyone playing that game. It made you think and had strategy. So many good times playing it.

Played way back when Revised/Dark came out. Fun game but I traded my dual lands (which were worthless att) for a Shivan Dragon and Pavel Maliki. Made sense at the time because I did a Red and Black deck and those cards kicked ass for me. A few weeks later the lands shot up in price, pre-Ebay. Haven't played since mid-2000's but it's a fun game. Expensive as fuk tho.

Yeah a lot of people traded off dual lands for shyt, lol, I wish I had never opened the packs I bought in 7th edition and just saved them and sold them ebay now.

At a professional level there is money in it, as long as I place well at these local competitions I get my moneys worth and then some, I do it for love of the game as well, if I sucked at it I just wouldnt pay to play.

I dont play Magic anymore, I now play Yu-Gi-Oh, with the Grandson. However, I sure do miss the good old days of Magic.

I have been collecting cards for yugioh and just found out there are over 10k cards for the US edition. Nothing compared to the 90k or so for Magic, but still. And Yugioh has a weird ass rare system, like they have Rare, Super Rare, Ultra Rare, Super Comic Rare, Rarer, then Meeting God, etc…

I fukking wish I held onto my mint condition beta mox emerald but I sold it. Paid $100 and sold for $100 back in the day. I remember seeing alpha black lotus for $300 but passed on it since I thought it was too expensive.

I remember a nurse lady that had binders back in the day since she basically used her high salary to buy everything magic then lol. Yes multiple binderS of magic full of multiple copies of alpha, beta, unlimited moxes, black lotuses, all the power 9s, chaos orb, dual lands etc. (SRS)
