Is hangover more about electrolyte imbalance than dehydration ??
Noticed over the last month or so when drinking heavily on Friday/Saturday nights that if I have a bottle of Gatorade after drinking (usually with some food) then sip another bottle while laying in bed when I wake up that my hangovers aren’t too bad compared to doing the same with just water.

is part of it but in general, and im mostly making this sh*t up after reading a bunch of articles 15 years ago, its enzymes used in breaking down alcohol. the longer alcohol grinds against your sh*t, the more pain you feel. liver needs to break it down. as we get older and/or damage the liver, the liver makes less of these enzymes
