Former youtube CEO dies at 56



YouTube ex-CEO and one of the first Google employees Susan Wojcicki has died at the age of 56 after two years of living with cancer, Google Chief Executive Sundar Pichai said on social media platform X on Saturday

Wojcicki, one of the most prominent women in tech, stepped down from her role at YouTube in 2023, a position she held for nine years.

Her husband wrote this with regards to her passing

"It is with profound sadness that I share the news of Susan Wojcicki passing. My beloved wife of 26 years and mother to our five children left us today after 2 years of living with non-small cell lung cancer," Dennis Troper, Wojcicki's husband wrote on ******** earlier in the night.

Thats sad. I'm surprised they didn't catch her cancer earlier. 56 is pretty young still.

Much to young to pass away from cancer. That is what i read though, not to many people live long once they develop cancer. One study I read said 7 months after diagnosis is the typical.

Depends where it is & how soon they find it. My mothers cancer was slow growing.

Turbo cancer is a new term, new medical issue. I just had a co-worker with no apparent issues die from cancer, the time from first symptoms to death was 48 hours. Said goodbye to him at end of shift, everything normal. Next shift he was dead.

Well it might be a new term, but it isn't new. Some cancers don't have any of the obvious signs-blood in stool, pain, going jaundiced etc & you also have to factor in co-comorbidities/inherited issues people may have & not know about.
