24 and went to a college bar for the first time last night

Didn’t get the chance to while I was in younger cuz I was in the army and leadership was so toxic we didn’t have much free time/weekend passes. According to everyone in my generation I’m too old for that scene and shouldn’t even be banging the undergrads at my uni but I can’t lie I had fun, hooked up, and the girls there were really good looking can’t recall seeing anything less than a 6/10. 10/10 would go again

Every now and then after a football game if it's early I'll go to some of the bars I used to frequent in college. I get more girls throwing themselves at me than I did when I was actually in college and I'm in my 30s. It's strange.

I'm 33 and in May I went to a wedding event type thing in Milwaukee and everyone went out afterwards. Mixed ages of our group, but quite a few were my age from our group.

It was the first time in my life where I was in the bar and felt completely out of place. I felt too old and like I would be the creepy older guy at the bar. Everyone seemed college aged.

Don't plan on going to a bar any time soon. I am not about that life anymore.

Yea summer time its packed with prime college girls and on top of that they're on vacation so they're more freaky

Had many ONS since I moved here. They in for the weekend or week and head back home, I never ask if they have a significant other lol

I live in a college town and rarely go to the strictly undergrad college bars nowadays at age 39. It’s not that I feel out of place, but they’re very cliquey so it’s just not that great of a time. However there are plenty of bars that attract a crossover crowd that are still fun.

This is definitely a mindset and vibe thing. However, being bald probably makes it more difficult.

Honestly 0 f*cks given in mid 30s would still go to college bars. Truth is the college crowd just knows how to have more fun. You go to bars where everyone is 25+ and they're f*cking depressing. I'd rather stay home knitting than go hang out in those places.


If you look like you lift in clothes college kids actually tend to like you too. I have so many college kids wanting to chat about lifting when I hang around the campus. Face it most of you are probably the type that just doesn't stand out positively in any way so you are just that old creepy dude no one wants at the bar.

Agreed. I used to be a regular at a dive bar where there was a group of guys who were like 28-34 who would actively try to kill my mood when I was getting crazy and having a good time. It eventually reached a point where they would try to start rumors and chit wtih the bartenders and trying to turn my casual friends against me, and I realized that I needed to move on.

Anytime I encounter the whole, "Crabs in a bucket" mentality, I immediately GTFO. Which sucks, because I did like having a watering hole type of place.

Yeah, I worked at a college bar for like 4 months at age 22 and it's probably the easiest pussy ever. Would have girls coming up and sitting on my lap and such. Coworkers always trying to fuk after work.

yes I had a lot of the guys asking me for my routine in the middle of partying aha, and yes the college peeps definitely are more fun than regular clubs I go to out here in SoCal

I was gonna be a bouncer at one of the college spots near me, I might give it a go since I have the gi bill and any money I make is technically fun money/savings at this point.

that’s what I hear from a lot of older guys ahah and to think my plan is to retire from the college bar/club life next fall when I’m 25 and finish my bachelors.

I agree it is a mindset. I just don't vibe with that scene anymore. I feel like I am a parent to half the kids in there.

Interesting…. I was at a couple college bars when I was 32. I didn't feel old, but the realization hit me i was probably 10 years older than everyone. I did have fun with a couple sloots though.


Is there any circumstances a college bar is ok in your 30s+?

I'm just saying that younger crowds are definitely going to treat a bald guy as "old". It's not an absolute dealbreaker, but you gotta be super confident and charasmatic. This is why usually you'll see balding guys in the party scene wear a hat every time going out.

So if you were already in the headspace of, "I'm so much older than these people, I don't fit in, etc.", then you obviously weren't going to feel comfortable there.

Exactly. I actually have gone to crazy college bars in the last 3 years and chatted up college girls. However if you're like 35 it's usually not wise to tell them your age, as you gotta create desire before telling those girls your age.

I never reveal my age…but I've been getting 28 for the past 6 years.

When they ask I let them guess…typically its be late 20s when they guess, so I just say, yep lets go with that.

Going out on a random Friday to a college bar where everyone is close to half your age most would find a little strange but whatever. The only time I go is on game days. Plenty of people go before the game but few do after. I'm an oldcel so I'm tapped out by 8pm anyway long before the party crowd shows up. I want to say the last time we went to our old hangout spot was when we were in our 20s. Didn't feel super weird and a group of girls just came and sat down with us lol. No idea why. Then again most of us are pretty good looking and could pass for being younger than we are no homo. None have ever asked how old we are.

We went out after a game last year this one girl took a shining to my friend and he was black out drunk. He kept trying to go home with her and it took forever to get him in an uber so he didn't blow his marriage. He kept claiming he was in an open marriage. His wife is a liberal kunt and I hate her but if you're going to do it at least don't waste it on someone who is a 5/10 at best. The girl kept asking me if I would fuk her over my wife and I was like absolutely not. She then proceeded to tell me I needed to go home and fuk my wife. Thanks I guess duly noted.
