The "Dog Days of Summer" are the worst time of the year
I'm not sure if there is a clear definition of when this period begins each year(maybe around August 1st), but it ends on September 1st usually.
Very difficult to conduct any type of business, still a lot of people doing last minute travel or staying at their Summer homes, but you know everything will go from 0 to 100 in the next few weeks. I have 3 large longterm business deals currently in middle stages, and around mid-July this year everybody stopped responding and I haven't spoken to them since. This time of year would be ideal for dealing with those type of projects, but instead I need to wait until everyone comes back in September when I'll also have a lot of other items to work on.
I guess I'll have to join the chorus of plebcels who travel this time of year as well.
