Is Metallica the GOAT band??

Saw them live last week and it was absolutely the best act I've ever seen live (I've seen many bands including megadeath, iron maiden). Just exhilarating

They have 4 or 5 fantastic all time GOAT cds along with being the GOAT live band in any genre brahs

NO.

you just are on a high from going to their concert. many better bands. I mean their first few albums were great but lezzbereal they fell off hard. Lead singer is whining cuck. Lars way overrated drummer. guitarist good though.

btw: you can't really say who is the best tbh, I listen mainly to jazz and absolutely floored by how much better those guys are than ANY rock band…but if you gotta rock…its Radiohead.

Brah you need to see them live. You'll understand why they're the GOATs. Just a breathtakingly sensational live band

Watch this video. Both the production and performance are 10/10

Megadeth > Metallica

Especially evident in their later album discography and in terms of longevity

Lol no. First 5 albums metallica is definitely better

Their live performances? You may as well race a Ferrari with a mustang. I've seen both live

Possibly more skilled, but from a vocals and lyrics standpoint, Hetfield>>>>>>>>>>>>Mustaine, by a wide margin.

tbh once you listen to enough JAZZ…all rock (metallica to radiohead) is kinda garbage. I get depressed thinking about that I shouldve started listening to Jazz much earlier.

Music schools mock rock and all the good schools are jazz based. totally makes sense. its not even close in terms of talent.

Brah technical talent is not what determines quality of music

Metallica is not the most complex from a technical perspective but they execute their music perfectly and are sensational live

Technical proficiency is a small part of music. There's death metal bands 10x more complicated than megadeth or metallica. Doesn't make them better

This band is more talented than every band in 80s combined. Doesn't mean much

Up until the early 90's you could mount that case. Then they started releasing dog**** album after dog**** album, and have completely tarnished their legacy.

I wish I could have seen them live between 85 and 90. Would have been god tier.

Dude they sound just as good now as 1985 live. James voice is back and everything else is perfection. I saw them Friday. Unreal, absolutely unreal

They still sound good, I'll give you that, but they're senior citizens now, there's just no way they can match this.

I've been to many metal concerts (again unfortunately). Now, I can't imagine going to a venue to have some old-drugged up retard yell at me over power chords and overdrumming (aka any metal concert). absolutely cuckening.

only "Metal" band approaching any kind of grace is GnR tbh.

Negged for awful taste in music

BTW all music is beautiful in its own way. I love jazz and classical. They're all beautiful in their own separate way

Miles Davis' turds are more talented than Metallica.

basically to inform you that you aren't in the best state-of-mind. you went to a concert and feel an adrenaline rush from it…thats all. this coulda occurred if you recently went to see Blink 182 for that matter.

No…not denying that they were definitely up there in the 80s but long story short…no, they are not. Plus Lars is a complete douche and a horrible drummer.

Maiden sh*ts on anyone live.

I saw Metallica on this run 2 nights last year; while I had a great time, Lars’ drumming is absolutely horrible and Kirk has seriously fell off as well.
