Starbucks fires Pajeet CEO, hires Chipotle CEO

Huge realignment. Starbucks must be paying an absolute chitload of money.

This is really big for Starbucks. They needed it, as their brand was floundering. Pajeet CEO was way our of his league, you could tell.

Actually they became a lot more conservative over the years, closing unionized stores and such.

I think they opened too many stores, and obviously $7 coffee is the first thing to cut in an economic downturn. They had a pre-Covid business model that never adjusted.
