One of the most random matchups in recent history. Especially since the guy's coming off of a 2 month suspension for a doping violation.

Penninton vs Pena for the belt. Pena coming off of a one sided beating by Nunes 2 years ago.

Can somebody please explain the logic here.

Why isn't Anakalaev fighting Poatan?

Is this some sort of contract manipulation to sustain the monopoly? Maybe anakalaev is nearing contract end?

ROUNTREE's last win was over ****en anthony smith lol.

Edit and he just backed out of a fight when he popped for peds

Surely you need 1 clean fight b4 a title bout. What a joke. Something fishy here

this is the ufc matchmaking. no logic here.

but about the bout - would be one of the biggest upsets ever if Khalil pulls this one off. and taking into account that he is an explosive striker.. he has a decent chance to clip Alex with something. in the first round.

Ankalaev is fighting Rakic in OCt.

I believe Poatan originally was going to take some time off after his last fight. I guess he changed his mind and thus didn't want to wait around for Anklalaev.

How in the fuk do you pop for roids, get a TWO month suspension, and the come back for a title fight after your BIGGEST win in last 5 being over Anthony Smith?
