East Coast Helicoptor parents are some of the most mentally ill people in America
Dealing with a situation right now where some college kids are moving into a property that we are building. Were supposed to move in last week, and now it looks like they will have to wait until this Friday due to things that were largely outside of our control. Crappy situation, but classes don't begin for another couple weeks and these kids will get to be the first occupants in an awesome new property.
Most people haven't bothered us since we told them it would be a bit delayed. They understand, and in the grand scheme of things they will be fine and it will still be plenty of time to get situated before classes begin. However, there one group of parents has used this delay as a reason to start going ballistic. Calling me on my personal cell phone and demanding all types of things, and threatening to sue and all this chit. Basically as soon as something doesn't go 100% perfect in their lives, it throws them into an absolute tailspin and they need to pull all kinds of absusive behavior to bring themselves back to feeling normal again.
I ended up blocking them, and will send them e-mails to update from now on. Sometimes I forget there are people who operate like this, but they must be absolutely miserable to be around.
