Fukn lol if u workout more than 2 days in a row.

I did 2 days in a row. Cortisol is thru da fooken roof

Sure u can push thru. I've gone 30+ days multiple times with no rest days. But should you? Is it healthy? Good for gains?

Nope. All ur doin is fukn ur body up with chitty workouts. Peak retardation srs.

The most you should do is one day on/one day off. Ideally 2 days off in between.

OP isnt completley off the mark. You could workout 2 days and do like 4 hours each. Then rest 2 days.

It boils down to genetics; if you are genetically blessed, you could work out every day and keep getting gains (though there will be a point where the body can't keep up). The average Joe will need at least 3-5 days break before training again. This is all assuming you are training correctly with high intensity.

can =/= should

nobody needs 3-5 days rest

genetics has little to no correlation to recovery

It depends.

If you're doing a sport that requires you to drill a movement pattern, then you need as much frequency as you can get.

If all you care about is curls for the girls, then it's probably best to gym to break down muscle, then let body rest and recover a few days and then hit it again.

Was on 3 days on 1 day off 2 days on then 1 day off.
Tuesday - Thursday PPL
Friday off.
Saturday Arms and shoulders
Sunday exercises specific to building swing speed. Picked up 10 mph on my ball speed for golf in 6 months that way. Before next spring I want to add 10 more. If a midget like Rory Mcilroy can do it a 6’1” lanklet like me should have no problem.

Last 4 months I’ve experimented with 1 on 1 off and just don’t see as good results. So going back to my old way.

Just lol at some no avi red telling people how often to work out.
