devs were tired as fuk of making like 15th that same game
turned based combat is really fun and it's something new in the series
if you want classic combat, The Man Who Erased His Name came like a year ago and Ishin is like 1,5 years so they're still pretty fresh.

Pro wrestler sabu got into a real confrontation with the yakuza at a show in Japan. Sabu always had security clear the fans from areas he setup tables to place his opponents on, in Japan mafia members often sat in the crowds and the security would not move them out of the way do sabu went up and started shoving them by force and they started trying to attack sabu security had to step in then to break it up.

Like A Dragon is probably one of my favorite Yakuza games. It makes for a great Steam Deck game. A bit more relaxing than the standard Yakuza experience, which has always been sort of a beat-em-up style.

I was late to the Yakuza train and my first Yakuza game was Yakuza 0 …. LAD series is where I fell in love with the series and it's all thanks to the turn based mode.
The series needed a shake up tbh, and turn based was a nice way to go in. So far RGS have done a good job in balancing the real time vs turn based mode games … We can have our cake and eat it too.
If you hate turn-based games for the sake of it turn-based I can only assume you're unable to brain strategy, patience and forward thinking.
