when would you go for an AMD Ryzen CPU vs an Intel CPU?

srs, only for gaming right, or overclockers?

IMO, if you have a tight budget. My last build had a r9 5900x. Everyone praised it, it was outperforming the latest gen (Intel 10/11) CPUs at the time. This was before they released the 3D CPUs too. Overclocking and undervolting was easy. But I had a lot of mobo/driver issues, and some games legitimately were known to be unplayable for AMD CPUs.

I think the modern Intel CPUs run hotter, and then AMD CPUs are a little more power efficient, but it has less productivity than equivalent Intel CPUs. Intel has claimed the throne in benchmarks, and they're close enough to each other in gaming in the recent years IMO, but again, the AMD CPUs would save you a buck or a buck and a half for good enough performance. Just pray you have no driver/mobo issues related to it.

That's my take, but I'm a bit biased.

With Intel chips literally frying themselves these days, I guess the only option is AMD TBH.

Intel can't compete with AMD unless they push their wattage a CRAZY amount..

it recently caused peoples chips to die, they finally "fixed" it just recently… but with every generation they keep pushing this number and its just unstable..

why buy space heater when you can get an AMD processor, less watts/heat and better performance overall vs intel beating AMD at a few.
