Yes but only in clothing. I hate that soft look when I'm not lean and vascular. I feel like a marshmallow and look like the Michelin Man.

Old man rant (didn't want to create a new thread over it)

Does anyone else notice the people from like 22-26 are lazy with their job hunting? Almost every single person that age I know of that complains about not getting a job is lazy as fukk about job hunting. They seriously rant about how hard it is to get jobs but then when I ask what who they have applied to and it averages out to about 1 place a month. Also when I ask them about if they follow up or anything, then they say they don't. They also say they want this and that job without working their way up at all. I just want to rage on them but they are acting to much like the victim to even comprehend it.

Seriously when I was in between jobs, I was applying to numerous places a day and had a whole chart and list of places I applied. I kept track of everything followed up and wrote down every contact I made.

Seriously….I think we are fukked for the future.

It's 100% true. They just want to sit on their ass and smoke weed and play video games all day.
They toss out one application a month and when they dont get the job it's like, "Well, I tried."
Such a lazy generation.

We have your generation to thank for raising them so well

Not 100% to blame of course, but when you see NEETs wasting their lives away it makes you wonder where their parents were and what were they doing the first 15-20 years of their lives.

Parents want to be friends with their children rather than parents. Sickening. I see it all the time. My parents weren't my friends, they were rule makers and enforcers. It's also hard to discipline kids these days without complete strangers getting involved. I don't necessarily condone spanking, but if a parent was to do that in public, you'd have someone calling DCFS or the cops.

My parents were divorced. My dad tried to be my friend when I was around which I thought was neat but he also was extremely disciplined with me. I knew not to say things or be disrespectful at all around him.

So much this. I can tell a huge difference in work ethic and thinking, and those kids are only 5-10 years younger than me.

Not really, I think about $90 for cleats and the new glove this year.

I had to run and give my daughter some money for a dance, so that's when he decides to turn a double play at 2nd with his new glove

Kid is seriously trolling me.

Feeling beat up and worn out. Work really took its toll on me this week. Once I finish up tomorrow, I'm planning on enjoying the perfect weather the rest of the weekend.

True. Many parents are lousy parents and the good ones have many forces acting against them. When I was a kid I knew a family who recently immigrated from Hungary, the father was a real tough guy but a good man to his son and daughter. One day his kids found out from some classmates that in this country kids can report their parents for any kind of perceived abuse so one day after a well deserved yelling the elderly daughter did. The ensuing ****storm only aggravated his health problems and damn nearly killed him. I understand that these services aimed at helping abused kids are created with good intentions in mind but at least in my area I hear them more often being abused as in my story than actually saving a kid in need.

Lmao, so true. But true for people my age as well, though.

2 month "job hunt" = one online application for a government job which in all likelihood had 3-4000+ applicants and ultimately went to an inside hire. No visit to the site, no contact besides the application, no follow-up. Pathetic. I remember driving around to places in high school and awkwardly finding managers to introduce myself. At least I was trying.

I used to get paddled in school. Got a paddlin' from the vice principal for selling gum after being told not to. Got a paddlin' from Ag teacher for making a kid fall over in his chair (that one was in front of the class.)

Nowdays, there would 9 cell phone videos, reporters, lawsuits, demonstrators and sobbing parents on TV.
