thank you for giving us leadership and words of strength in these tumultuous time. the way i see it bb.com is just resting in between sets at the moment. but it's going to come back, bigger and stronger than ever before and whoop all the naysayers asses.

Greedy? No offense, but if all of these businesses know Amazon is selling cheaper and can’t price match or change their business model to offer a more attractive product for the customer then I don’t feel sorry for them. Toysrus is a prime example. Petsmart and petco better be on the lookout if they do get that dog brand up and running.

The world has turned to IG for their fitness needs

I’m more interested in seeing the traffic this site gets these days compared to previous years.

I’m guessing most simply just don’t come here, which hurts sales more than the other stuff mentioned like Amazon taking over.

For the stuff I buy, which is optimum products, bb.com still has competitive prices with other sites I’ve checked

Amazon has only taken over because people don’t come to the site as much to begin with in I’m guessing.

They got lazy at marketing themselves. I don’t even think they had a booth at the Olympia the last few years. They sure as sh*t don’t market themselves through IG the way other companies do. They built their brand and figured it was good enough, stopped putting in effort, and now others have passed them because they weren’t as recognizable and invincable as they perceived.

If they got back on it bringing fresh content and marketing themselves better all these numbers would go right back up.

I still order from B.B.com from time to time. The only other place I get my supplements from is a friend who has a small business selling them. Even if it is a little more expensive I don’t mind spending the money, same view I have buying from small businesses or trying to keep my money in my town/county through taxes. If the price difference isn’t too much then I’ll gladly help out people or entities that I appreciate. When you spend money you aren’t just buying something, you’re casting a vote. More people need to consider what they’re voting for with their money.

The industry is dying. People are shopping online, and not just online but they demand free shipping. Shipping a 5lb bag of protein is expensive. Very expensive. For example, my shipping cost to send a 5LB protein across canada was 24.99... nobody wants to pay that. The only people who can do that is amazon and still make a profit.

Everyone loves amazon so much but don't see that it will be the end of all small businesses.

Don't forget that amazon is a logistics company before anything else.

You notice the amazon basics section? Basically they look at their back end and see what the best selling items are, and then they launch their own version for way cheaper. They just announced they are going to start selling dog food.

They don't treat amazon sellers well, and make them assume all risk and pay more of the shipping costs... and then take a massive cut.

Eventually they will manufacture everything themselves and kick sellers out if they get their way.


but..... free prime shipping I guess.

all supps are pretty much useless unless you buy powders in bulk like creatine, beta alanine, citruline malate, etc. all those you can get on amazon. protein is only useful if you're in a hurry. food is always better.
