Basically, the parents called the cops in on Friday, they said the son took of on Tuesday with his car and ran into the Carlton Reserve, which is like 25,000 acres of hiking land, woods, etc.

They said they went and picked up his Mustang at some point.

Police are saying he may have shot himself in the woods or harmed himself at some point, so I'm assuming he might have a gun.

So did the parents just let their son go and commit suicide in the woods and then picked his car up?

Idk, seems a little weird.

There is a “possibility” Brian Laundrie has hurt himself in the sprawling Florida wildlife reserve as dual searches continue for him and his missing girlfriend Gabby Petito, police told The Post Sunday.

Laundrie, 23, was last seen Tuesday after telling his family he was going for a hike, the kin told cops Friday, sparking a massive manhunt in the nearly 25,000-acre Carlton Reserve in Sarasota County.

“As far as hurting himself in there, we don’t know that one way or another. I think it’s a possibility certainly,” North Port Police spokesman Josh Taylor said.

“Does anyone not think it’s possible he went out there and shot himself in the head? Sure,” Tayor said, adding, “We don’t have any information about where he’s at.”

The search for Laundrie by the FBI and about 50 law enforcement personnel got underway on Saturday, with no sign of the missing man.

Meanwhile, police said Laundrie’s parents picked up their Ford Mustang that was left at the reserve — and the car was spotted parked in the driveway of their North Port home over the last few days.

I don't get why anyone actually believes he's in that wildlife preserve near the parent's house. Seems pretty clear to me he got a head start and made his way out of the country and then a week later the parents told the feds he was in that preserve so they would spend days looking for him there even though they knew he wasn't there. He's probably kicking back on some beach in Zihuatanejo.

Nobody thinks it weird his girlfriend goes missing on a hike and he just tells his parents he's going on a hike alone in the woods?

The kid couldn’t make it in a mini van with his girlfriend for over two months. You seriously think he has the wherewithal to hop the border and make it in Mexico with no credit cards? No chance dude.

Yea, the part about the Mustang is really weird.

I honestly don't think he's dead.

He carries himself exactly like Chris Watts. It's hard to describe but he has this almost constant projection of upbeat positivity with confidence no matter what the situation which is not normal.

Just like when bi-polar or schitzo's where their mood and personality changes rapidly or constantly the other end of the spectrum. Normal people's mood and attitude should match their circumstances.

Uwotm8? What video are you basing this off? Even the girl that gave him a ride said he was acting weird.

Thx brah but honestly wasn't trying to be funny. If my girlfriend is missing I'm doing everything possible to find her, going for a recreational walk in the woods would be the last thing on my mind. It's completely abnormal behavior.

I'm assuming the bf has already or will commit suicide soon

He definitely had something to do with her death otherwise he had no reason to plead the fifth

But he also came back home, so he obviously didn't plan on being a fugitive for the rest of his life otherwise he would have made a run for it immediately

My guess is the only reason he came back home was to get his lawyers hired and maybe say goodbye to his family, but at this point I'm sure he realizes he is screwed

This

Don't know why people think he's gonna kill himself. He's obviously trying to escape.

Ye, I got the Chris Watts vibe off him in the police video too.

Going on the run immediately after the crime was committed is a pretty tough sell for someone not really experienced with evading the law. This guy isn't some special ops or master criminal mind bro. Most people are going to try to regroup (at home or somewhere familiar) first especially if the body hasn't been found before trying to run.

Some of you guys watch too many movies thinking people can just run at the drop of a dime. Most people can't do that.

The only reason the bf would freak out is if there was a way to determine foul play. He must have obviously did something to her that will not be covered up by hiking accident injuries. When the cause of death is revealed it will be obvious. Otherwise he could have just claimed she fell.

YouTube is basically scripted TV at this point and is almost entirely fake. I agree with you completely.

Also sometimes the illusion IS the product. Some hot girl pretends to be doing XYZ when the camera is on but in reality is playing a character. YouTube let people know their was a niche to watch anything.

Adversely he has done the opposite that you suggest.

He has everyone including yourself asking themselves what is going on? Is he guilty? He has it up in the air. Perhaps exactly how he wanted it.

*** Keep in mind ***

As of right now I don't believe there is a warrant for him, the only reason there searching for him is because of the missing persons report filed by he parents.

You can easily do the vanlife thing if you setup the van properly.

Battery powered APU that runs the AC while the engine is off. Boom, comfy all night. This is what most semi trucks have. When they park the A/C can run while the motor is off. APU can also power TV/Satellite TV etc.
