Checked the price… oof. Not terrible but I'd expect that to be like $250-275. Maybe some day.

Yeah I know, I got mine for much less through a friend otherwise I'd never consider buying it for the market price.

That exact Nighthawk above (on bracelet) was what got me into watches.

Extremely versatile (looks good on most straps) and at the pricepoint you can't go wrong IMO

What does MWC think of the following companies: Maurice Lacroix, Fredrique Constant, and Raymond Weil. Any opinions?

Go with a NATO watch strap

Fuark. Boyo's, I really love my SDGM003. I find it getting all my watch wear time now. Not even my SARB065 (with a different band) gets as much weartime anymore.

SDGM003 - It really is a, "Baby Grand Seiko".

Need help finding a specific strap.

Will rep tenderly and generously.

I was in a wedding over the weekend and got this exact watch as a gift.

I am looking for a strap in this color (vintage red leather?) with light blue stitching to match the second hand.
Prefer the stitching go length wise not horizontal as seen in the example.
Size: 24mm

Thanks in advance.

I can safely say I have never seen that particular color combo before, so you will most likely be looking at a custom strap. I would considered it 'Burgandy' or 'Burgundy red leather' which there is plenty of options, but It is the blue stitching which will make the combo difficult to find already pre made.

Sounds like you want something like this, but in a more reddish leather:

You can order a similar custom/bespoke strap, for around $80-$300, depending on the quality/type of leather.

You could order a custom strap starting at about $100 from here:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/ThreadedLe...er_title_items
I stumbled across this seller when I was looking to buy an apple watch strap as a gift, they seem reasonably priced.

or a more expensive custom strap starting at $250 from here:

Brahs, just serviced my late grandfather's Rolex. Sorry not the best pics, didn't think of documenting the service.

Before

According to the service center: dials & hands scratched, spotted and discoloured, glass scratched. Case, bezel, crown, back & lugs scratched and dented. Bracelet scratched & badly worn. Case & back corroded.
Came with 62510 clasp, links cracked.

After

Watch model: M1603
Year: 1970
Tube, crown, rotor weight and bridges were replaced. And polished.
The bracelet couldn't be replaced though. If I'm not mistaken, it's because they don't have that exact bracelet anymore. I could change it for a oyster bracelet but it's about $800.
And the corroded back too, so it has lost it's water resistance.

But looks mighty shiny and clean now. Amazing that the watch was still moving after all these decades years untouched.

There is a reason all roads lead to rolex in this hobby man. Mirin watch, and sure your grandpa would have taken great pride in seeing you with his watch.

Heavy debating on my end boyos. Might go for the Ceramic daytona buy one off of Chrono24. Hefty premium it seems…. worth it or am I crayy (legit sellers?) or let the prices cool down a bit…if they do at all.

price is around 18-19.5k which is in the range of an Audemar.

Imvho, unless it's vintage, you shouldn't be looking at Rolexes for a $20k watch. I'd take an PP/ALS/AP over a Day C any day.

By the way, if you do end up buying a C Daytona, be sure to stock up spare bezels, since they're designed to chip/shatter. 600 per replacement bezel though :'DDD

I'm more intrigue that my grandpa has good taste in watches especially back in the 70s lol

Mine should be coming in very soon. Dealer said hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

I wouldn't pay 18-19K though.

I'd wait for the prices to cool down. For $18-19k you could get an Aquanaut or a Royal Oak.

I think so, just give it some time. More and more pre-owned ones should start popping up in the next few months. (DavidSW and HQ Milton have them for sale at around $17k - not exactly a bargain, but you're getting closer to MSRP).
