Switched to Fuji from full frame Canon a few years ago and never looked back. Just upgraded to the XT3 as well and its amazing. Fuji is known for their colors and their great lenses. Sony makes a hell of a camera system too, leader in low light tech. lol at Canon and Nikonites.

In a world of super saturated shouty in-your-face landscapes, it is great to see how what solid use of colour and composition can deliver.

Beautiful images. I find the larger the print the less that needs done in terms of contrast adjustments whereas at web resolution it has to pop off the screen or people are just going to keep scrolling these days. You've got the balance right.

Thanks man. Yep, I definitely find myself tweaking small adjustments like saturation/contrast and overall exposure for not only print, but also taking into consideration mobile and web. Mobile seems to need even more contrast for it to pop it seems.

I'm not too fussed but places like St Dunstan in The East, Pergola Hill Gardens etc… Places Londoners overlook or buildings that are unique architecturally.

Lol. They aren't my pics - just crappy ones I've got from flickr and things that show places which may have potential, some are even print screens from google streetview.

Great pics. Was thinking about posting some I've shot with my phone, nothing special, but looks like photos in this thread are on another level.
I guess I'll still give it a try though.

Some very talented individuals in here for sure. Really like the pic of the doggo looking out the window. Nice one. Been a long time since I've posted my amateur nonsense too but took a trip to Yosemite, and drove down the coast from SF to SD. Guess I'll share too lol.

Point Lobos?

Did you get any of the Bixby Bridge?

I took a trip down Highway 1 and it was some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen. Nice photos!

We started in Monterey took Highway 1 down as well. Very beautiful drive indeed. 1st is Yosemite, 2nd two are Big Sur, and the last is the "Lone Cypress" in Pebble Beach. Didn't stop in Point Lobos but drove through the area. Did get some of the bridge but it was so hectic. Just lines of cars everywhere and crowds at nearly every stop and we had to get to Santa Barbara that day. Tight schedule.

Does anyone here have the Iphone 11 or 11 pro?

I'm going to be getting one of those very soon and just want to see if any photographers have them and what they think of the cameras.

I don't see a benefit in the extra "zoom" lens but if anyone has experience with it I'd like to know.

11 Pro Max. I will use my Fuji for any serious pics but if you're just out and about and there is something you want to snap a pic of, the 11 is fantastic. I love the new ultra wide lens on it too.

Do you find yourself using the zoom lens?

Both phones have the exact same wide and ultra wide lenses but the zoom lens is interesting.

It's better for most portraits and allows 10x optical zoom instead of just 5x.

This guy was sitting on top of a pole and had just finished eating half of a Vole he caught. I saw him keep looking up and I tried looking to see what he was looking at, but couldn't see anything. Well all of a sudden he takes flight and latches onto a Mourning Dove in the tree right in front of me. It weighed too much for him to fly with, so the both of them tumbled to the ground 15' in front of us. (talk about right place, right time!) I've photographed 5 different Northern Hawk Owls over 14 years and this is the first time I've ever seen one catch a bird, let alone a Mourning Dove! He tried to fly with it, but being 1/2 his body weight, he couldn't get far with it.

Amazing owl pics! 130-600 - can't imagine using a lens with that range. Good stuff.

All birds tongues that I've seen look similar. They are kind of arrow head shaped, they stick it out and grab whatever they are eating with it and pull it into their mouth. Very efficient design.

Sony a7riii or a7iii???

Shooting landscapes, car shows, wildlife, night photography, real estate, and portraits. Pretty much a little bit of everything.

I don't ever see myself wanting to print larger than 36"x36" prints.

I don't see myself doing much video.

Based on your stated photography needs, it might behoove you to save the $1K and get the A7III. You can then invest that cost savings into good glass.

Besides the larger sensor on the A7RIII the cameras are quite comparable and a strong argument could be made that the autofocus on the A7III is preferable.
