Russian energy minister saying we’ll see $200/barrel oil if the world follows IEA’s Net Zero by 2050 guidance in terms of stopping any new production

Might be the end goal really, making oil so expensive in the nearer term that other sources of energy are incentivized

I’m thinking we get a dump last hour and the report comes out tomorrow. Meets or lower than expectations which were lowered after last report and market pumps. Everything is pretty red so we usually get some reps after

Hey y'all

I'm back after 4 months off. Stepped away from stocks and investing and its been a nice reset.

I closed on my home sale yesterday so I have a lot of cash to invest.

What are y'all thoughts on TSLA? I was going to put in half my portfolio in Tesla stock and leave it for long term growth. & then maybe spread the rest in ARK ETFs / Apple / Recovery stocks.

What are y'all thoughts?

If oil goes $120 we go into recession. ( I will be buying puts on all of them if we get to $120)

Its awesome you're making killing on your oil play but careful what you wish for. $200 is not sustainable.

Remember early 2016 when oil fell 75% ?

TSLA is a question mark for me still. It's been overvalued for a long time and imo still is.

Don't touch ARK unless you consider it a discount right now. I still hold because I think the underlying companies do have promising futures. I own all their funds except arkx.

exactly this is the play…

when the gallon hit $5-10 people will look into nuclear and solar a lot more

that was the reason that usa started investing more here inland instead of buying from everywhere else a few years ago

Biden just suspended the artic leases in regards to oil in Alaska. So that's not good for oil pricing.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/biden-a...ge-11622575912

But then OPEC says they're upping production. So I don't think prices are going to go much higher, they might actually reduce, but we'll see…

"Members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and their allies, a group known as OPEC+, agreed Tuesday to a previously planned output increase of about 450,000 barrels a day, starting next month. Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, agreed to continue easing separate, unilateral cuts of one million barrels a day that it put in place earlier this year."

Talking about GS or NVDA? If NVDA then it's obviously because of the split. It was a no brainer play and free money. It's like a repeat of when Tesla split, it's going catabolic.

GS is the hands down the best player in the game. I bought it purely because of that lol. JP, Wells fargo, etc can suck one. I'm definitely expecting GS to hit 400 this month.

Honestly wasn't watching stocks or even oil prices back in 2016, but I'd probably dump my holdings if crude went above $100 again and equities followed because I know that's not sustainable. My investing basis is mostly built around Alberta producers generating huge cash flows at $60 WTI and I'll be ready to act on any irrational exuberance or further hammering of the sector

I'd dump these holdings already if it weren't for dividends

AAPL been stuck for a bit now, MSFT and AMZN have also been stagnant.
