I wanted the Orient Blue Mako II, but it seems they are out. Looks like i'll be holding off on my purchase haha

EDIT: Also, I measured my wrist yesterday and it measured about 16cm or 6.2 inches. Am I doomed? What size watch would you think is my maximum decent looking size??

Got my Planet Ocean (232.30.42.21.01.001) from Joma for $3,995 a year and a half ago. They have it for $3,695 now . Haven't had any issues with it.

Don't worry broseph, I have a very similar size wrist to you, I maybe be slightly larger like 6.3inch (no homo) Depending on your budget there are still plenty of good options from Orient to Rolex. You are definitely not doomed. The only thing I thing I had to miss out on are the Panerai Luminors and Omega DSOTM, but its all good.

My personal rule is no larger than a 42mm. I think 40mm is my personal sweet spot, but it depends on the watch obviously you may be able to find watches that are larger than 42mm and still look great or wear smaller than they actually are.

A lot of factors come into play - is your wrist flat or round, and also the thickness or height on the watch etc.

the orient mako 2 is prob gonna be pretty big on your wrist then, although it does sit nicely due to the case shape. i have a 7.25" wrist and i like a 40-42mm piece, but even the mako 2 at 44.5 wears nicely. the mako 1 or mako usa, etc. will prob wear better for you and tbh is a higher quality finish than the mako 2

pics of mako 2 on 7.25" wrist vs mako 1 on same wrist Spoiler!

I don't have nearly the value of watches as some of you ITT but I usually rely on the Seiko 007 for all travel. Versatile and a workhorse.

Currently wearing a Vintage Omega today…probably the watch that gets the most compliments out of everything I own

I'm no watch snob but they are the worst. They're always a certain % off, and then have some tag on the box claiming they were originally several hundred bucks. Big af and typically have a movement the size of the pea inside.

for the most part avoid them. There is a couple that have a decent movement so they make a good base for modding (the prodiver) if your into that, otherwise, you can prob get a better bang for your buck elsewhere.

Hey guys, so I bought this watch about 2 weeks ago from "The Watch Store by Askmen.com" I paid about $160 for it. Everywhere I look online has this same watch from $500-$1500. Did I get fukd over, and buy a fake? I know that the company Reign is Chinese, but thats about the extent of my knowledge of the company. Should I attempt to sell it and put the money toward a better quality watch? Here are some pictures of it.

Hey guys I'm kind of a watch novice. I remember a few years back I think I asked for recs on a new watch in one of the other crew threads and you guys pointed me in the direction of the Orient Mako which I have and still do love and continue to wear.

I'm currently looking to get a gold/gold-coloured watch around that same price range and quality as the Orient that I already have. Again, I just don't have any idea where to look or start or if there are any particular models I should be looking at.

Seiko looks good for you brah, check out the SSA232/SARB030 or if you want more gold, the SNZH60K1 or the SARB038. There is also the Orient ER24003W.

Hey guys, considering pulling the trigger on this. It'll be my first "proper" watch and wanted some feedback on how much you all think I should pay for it. Comes with box and papers that have been verified by the local rolex agent. The strap however is not a rolex strap. The owner wants $2500NZD so about $2000US.

Thoughts?

Nice piece!

If the chapter ring is what I think you're referring to, then yes it does rotate. Here's a quick review of the watch, the guy mainly babbles and then fails to show it on his wrist, but you get a good feel for the watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qUqyVh612Kw
