I bought a membership to a local outdoor gun range yesterday, $100 for the year. 15 up to 200 yard sections. Going to stop by tomorrow to finally start getting some consistent training going on. Also bought a couple used 50 cal ammo cans to use for storing ammo. It's time to plunge head first into the hobby.

Loaded up 3 mags each of .22 and 5.56 to shoot both of my rifles. Also bringing 100 rounds of .45 to abuse my FNX. I'm going to order a bunch of ammo tonight so I can stock up. Things aren't getting any cheaper, sadly.

all things considered, backyard shooting is better done with pellet guns. even if they arent anywhere nearly as powerful as firearms, they are still fun. especially pellet guns like the gamo swarm with a 1300 FPS muzzle velocity.

Convince me to not buy a maverick 88. I was considering buying a Beretta 1301 tactical for home defense and range use, but the 88 looks like it has illegal levels of fun for what they cost.

other than cheap, I don't understand getting a pump over a semi for hd. Enjoy shortstroking in high stress situation. Guarantee you won't train with ANY shotgun as much as an AR, for example. I'd compare it to getting a single action revolver for carry, or lever rifle for hd. It's doable but why? If buying for a specific purpose, don't get something that's merely doable.

If you want a range toy or hunt small game an 88 is probably a good value.

for hd, that 1k you "saved" will just go to an early funeral.

I'm done with Sig bc their quality control has been trash. But I assume Wilson is actually doing QC checks on the stuff they are assembling.

So the assumption is that Wilson will QC everything about the Sig pistols they receive, right down to the processes that happened in Sig's manufacturing process or checks of the quality of the incoming materials/metals to Sig…lol good luck with that

From all of the info I'm finding, they are basically taking delivery of the bare blocks of metal for the slides and milling them from scratch. The grip assembly is Wilson. The trigger is Grey Guns. Wilson uses their own springs if you do the "action tune" version.

That seems to leave relatively few parts of the gun that Sig is responsible for.

I only base that on the information and reviews I’ve read. It appears that Wilson has left very little of the 365 untouched. Not much Sig left in there.

I don't understand.

1. You realize stupid federal laws are why it wasn't generally available in the US, right? ATF import points/restrictions didn't allow it to be imported.

2. It's the same size as a G26 but fires a weaker more expensive round

3. It's far fatter and larger to carry than a G42

4. That's not an upgrade. If you think you want a G28 just buy a G26

Are these straight blowback like the foreign models? If so, you're ganna have more felt recoil compared to the 42. Straight blowbacks are for commies and the poors

Because the government/ATF are retarded.

The difference in points vs a G26 is that the G28 isnt' of sufficient caliber for sporting purposes.

Yes, the G26 could be imported and the G28 not because the G28 isn't powerful enough.

I'm confused why this gun exists. It's a lower power g26? Which is the worst Glock ever.

It exists for commie countries as noted above.

There are countries where 9mm is a government only cartridge (military, maybe LE) so Glock has to offer a smaller cartridge to be allowed

Damn it's illegal to be poor ITT. I'll just wait to buy a 1301 then.

Just bought some 5.56, .45 and 22LR online. Going to focus on buying every month to build up a solid supply, unfortunately I don't think things will get any cheaper.

Edit- Wilson combat is having a sale on their magazines, is this a good choice for a 10 round mag in .45 acp for a 1911? They offer a lot of options.

I have two of the stainless 10rd Wilson mags that I use for certain practice drills. They work flawlessly. But for EDC, they extend out of the magwell further than I like.
