imagine they make the expansions to cyberpunk as good as heart of stone or blood and wine. like it goes from most people expectations failed to the expansions being 10/10 lol what a twist that would be. i was blown away by the witcher 3's DLC way more than I was by the vanilla game. could happen with cyberpunk never know

Played a few more hours tonight. Night and day difference between the new xbox and the one s.

Didn't research into this too much, but Gamers Nexus talked about how RTX modes all the way up to Ultra solely apply sun/moon raytracing, so you can only possibly notice it if you're outside (or inside looking out a window or something). Psycho mode does "global" raytracing, so it impacts all lighting as a whole, interiors inclusive.

Gotta look at things that give reflections, like windows, shiny metals, water, etc.

maybe we should experiment with setting the raytracing to psycho and keeping texture at high but then turn down other graphic options and prioritize ray tracing and see how that looks in comparison and what the tradeoff would be to get there.

This alone is idiotic enough for me to not even play it. What a chitshow.

I cranked all the settings up to ultra and while of course my FPS took a fat dip, I was still able to explore around the city and I can safely say I wasn't blown away. Yeah I didn't have RTX or DLSS on since I don't have a 2/3 series card(I have a 1080) but if you're telling me that the only way for the game to look great is by having those two things enabled then you're just silly. Of course I've seen screenshots of people with 3090s playing completely maxed out and yeah some of the faces and the lighting looks cool, it's nothing ground breaking and it didn't blow my hair back in any way, shape, or form.

I've played countless games on max settings that looked just as good if not better in most aspects, and without the insane FPS dips, the glitches, or the bugs.

RDR2(on PC), Jedi Fallen Order, TLOU2, Ghost of Tsushima, AC: Valhalla(when you're sailing around the rivers of England on your boat), Battlefront 2, hell even Detroit: Become Human had incredible facial features.. I could go on and on, but you get the point.

I think the scale of the environment being rendered is what counts. Even if the graphics aren't truly cutting edge the fact you can seamlessly transverse the entire city while it looks good, dense and genuine is very impressive. In nearly every other open world game it feels like you're playing in miniature versions of real cities.

Or you could just not look for bugs and enjoy the game. I've seen none so far except for **** coding looking at cars at a distane.

I'd say its just your graphics card tbh … On a 2060 super the game looks stunning and I've tried out different testings with dlss on/of rtx on/off and regardless of whatever settings, the game looks insane … But then again I am managing a mixture of mostly ultra/high and a couple mediums and my framerate is decent … I even turned off rtx because I personally cant see much difference until I saw the DF video testing and rtx does add to the game, but I wouldnt call it a game changing feature, its nice but I can live without it until I get a better card to make use of it. 1080p native is decent, surprisingly but I wouldnt say I'd play it like that tbh. Hate to say it, but dlss or native 1440p is the only way to play this game.



As for the games in your list, some them cant be compared because they're linear games … But I'd say as far as open world goes, RDR 2 is probably the only game that comes close to achieving the near photorealistic look cyberpunk has especially in an open world setting. TLOU2 is another generational leap, but that's a super linear game only it's facial animations/character models really set it apart … I think cyberpunk has better lighting. I will say though, the game does look like absolute pisschit on my monitor for some reason even on the same settings, but on my tv its insanely good, super weird and honestly have no idea whats up because its a 4k monitor, so i'm guessing the 1080p dlss/res is messing something up lol.



To me though, this game is generational leap … The materials they use for the clothes, the lighting, the scale of the city and even crowd density set to high it is gorgeous, there's so many little details from the way the characters will animate during conversations seamlessly and in real time without any cutscenes is just top tier.

Be gone with Valhalla though, its a great looking game, but its nowhere near close to looking as good as cyberpunk does hahah.



The only thing we can hope now is CDPR fixes this chit asap … I'm sure most cards can work fine and run fine on this game but rn its just clearly very badly optimized unless you own 3080s, 3090s and the best cpus.

povertycels, budgetcels and even richcels are having trouble because of this and only managing to make it look good by bruteforcing their way. Even the digital foundry test ran the game at 30 fps 3090 all the settings cranked up to the highest … no thx jeff.

I wasn't looking for it lol. Traversing the city is a large part of the game and this happens to about 50% of vehicles and NPCs as close as a couple of meters away… every time you turn around.

Playing on PS5. I've had three crashes over the course of two days of playing. Crash always happens after a couple hours of play. This game simply needs a lot of patching. Enemy AI is pretty terrible, although I'm not sure if changing difficulty would help. The only time you're ever truly fukked is when a number of enemies gang up on you. I didn't jump on the hype bandwagon to begin with, so I'm not at all upset about the game in any way. I'm enjoying it a lot.

So I just played another hour. Finally got out to the city, started exploring. Pretty nice looking city I guess, not much to do. The cops attack you if you just stare at them, it's really phucking retarded. The game is really boring, reminds me of watchdogs 2. IDK, thinking of getting refund, really disappointed. Gonna play some Halo 4 and have some fun.

Most people whose biggest reason and justification for upgrading their computer recently was Cyberpunk can't admit that, even to themselves. And then the hype, someone like Relentlesbo convinced himself this was the best game he ever played well before he played it.

Spent $3500ish on new PC for Cyberpunk, been loving it but far from GOTY due to bugs.

Probably by the GOTY version it will be 9/10, but as it stands it's a solid 3/10 objectively. I am still loving it, I needed a good distraction from life at the moment.

CDPR needs to release these patches sooner and more frequently …. I cant keep holding off playing the main story for so long … Past 6 hours from my 30 hour playthrough all I've done is nothing but drive around, do gigs, hunt down some collectibles. Cottdamn though, this city is actually so massive, the highway systems are amazing. Weandered into Pacifica today and cotdamn, the place is like Iraq.







They really overplayed the customizing and the "look" options but didnt even bother to add a barber/or the ability to transmog items …. why tf am I not able to hide certain parts of clothing …. Even the most basic rpg's and assassins creed valhalla had this. Why cant I switch over stats from one item of clothing to another item.

I'm not gonna "roleplay" my character and have him running around with the worst stats ever because it looks "cool". Look at how goofy my guy looks lmao

Lol if anything, Keanu's interest in the game may have ruined the entire thing for all of us. CDPR said that once he came on board and because of how much they liked working with him and how much that he liked the game, they had to rework a lot of stuff to make him one of the main characters.

And it absolutely shows now …. The lifepaths were useless fluff added for no reason, they have no bearing on the story and even after the lifepaths V still behaves like a street kid. Street Kid was probably the default option for this game and then you selecting your background/childhood heros, but then Johnny Silverhand became the star of the show and they probably had to rewrite all of that to accommodate him into the story. Which is why we got that fkkin Spoiler! .





I'm harsh on the game, but at the same time I'm still immensely enjoying it and consider it the best game I've played that's released this year….. It's a flawed masterpiece imo. The game hit a lot of things that I was hoping for, but at the same fell short on others.

And that's something I noticed even in the first few hours, it's not a real RPG, it's a linear FPS with open-world elements and it fails pretty horridly at it.

It feels like everything you do is pointless outside of the main missions, unlike RDR2 where crafting and looting actually made perfect sense, it was easy to get lost in that world as Arthur Morgan. Immersion was off the charts good.

I've been doing it and been having a lot of fun, although it does get repepitive doing the same gigs/sidejobs that has the same gameplay loop over and over again …. I mean, sure they do have some side stories and some of them are interesting, but it does get a bit old when you're constantly doing them.

But yes, definitely do those jobs and get to dem docs …. I got a legendary operating system now that kicks ass. Also lold at how I ended up in the voodoo boy turf by accident because I was searching for a higher tier ripperdoc, but the dudes entire set up was poverty as fuk, even he himself admitted to it and when I checked out his goods, all of them were poverty or stuff that I already had + less choices. But since I was in the area, and Voodoo boys are skilled netrunners, decided to pay a visit to their cyberdeck shop and hory chit …. The quick hack upgrades they had were insane lol … Bought a few of em and my quick hacking is pretty damn beefy now, but I havnt invested into that tree so they're not as effective as they, but a massive upgrade over what I had.

Even if it was only three like your crackpot ass claims, it really shouldn’t matter. Three people are liking it and all you can do is spend every day trying to convince people why they shouldn’t like it.
