How would you feel about Jimmy Graham. He's stayed healthier thank Gronk and has more TD over the least two years… for the right price of course.

Havent really dug into this years class too much but some guys i'd like in the first 2 rounds
#9 or #10
Quenton Nelson (G) - best guard in the nation. Nasty.
Roquan Smith (LB) - Bit of overkill here at LB but can we trust Foster? He would be BPA if he is still there at 9-10
Harold Landry (EDGE)- Some fans would lose their minds if we picked another DL in the first. But he actually fits!!!
Calvin RIdley (WR) - I'm intrigued by him. Great route runner
Arden Key (EDGE) - kind of risky but he could be the best edge rusher in the draft
2nd round:
James Washington (WR) - probably wont be there at #59
Auden Tate (WR) - great size with nice potential
Anthony Miller (WR) - great production and good route runner.
Dorance Armstrong (edge) - a pass rush specialist in college. Played on a bad team
I have a lot of WRs on my list but i'm really not advocating a pick that high. I just dont know too many others players yet.

Love me some Ronald Jones, Rashaad Penny, Sony Michel, Arkum Wadley and my new guy Ito Smith. I was looking at guys I didn't get to watch during the season on draftnreakdown vids and he stuck out. Would love him on day 3. Smaller guy but awesome quickness and effort for a little dude. Very well rounded.

Is Jimmy GQ going to shop around to see who will give him the most money or will he stay put in SF assuming they offer him good money?
Imagine if Denver paid him money and he played at the high level he is capable of. Easy SB contenders without having to rebuild.

49ers will franchise him if it gets to that point. But no reason to think he doesn’t want to stay here long term. 49ers were the team that showed they wanted him. He knows he can win with the current roster. Roster will only get better in the offseason. Very smart offensive coaching. Bay Area isn’t the worst place to live.
They’ll get him signed.

If a long term deal isn't done by 3/6 they'll franchise him with an exclusive rights tag and work to get a long term deal done.
The only way a long term deal doesn't get done is if Jimmy for some reason doesn't want to be here long term and considering his success with the team and how well he and Kyle Shanahan seem to be working together it doesn't make sense. Where would he want to go? Chicago? They just drafted Trubisky. New England? He's not going back after being traded people can stop that crazy notion. Plus who is he coming back to? McDaniels and Patricia will be gone in the offseason and for all we know Belichick will be close behind.
Plus following Gabbert/Kaepernick/Hoyer/Beathard and the rest of the scary bunch after Steve Young retired is a little less stressful than following Tom Brady.

If we want to address TE then Dallas Goedert would be a great one to bring in. I also like Hayden Hurst out of SC.

Wouldn't mind Penny from SD State, feels like one of those smaller school backs that gets overlooked.

Since we're talking TEs….Jaylen Samuels has been looking really good at the Senior Bowl.
I'm very intrigued by this kid. Now he was listed as a TE/FB at NCS but they were playing him at RB at the senior bowl and really given his size he's no TE in the NFL. Dude is 5'11 223 lbs or something along those lines.
Apparently he showed up very well at RB and his games were always hard to figure out because he had so few runs up the middle. Lots of end around stuff and Percy Harvin like runs.
But the kid is a weapon. Great receiving threat and I'm very intrigued by what he can do here if the team felt he could play RB as well. Having a guy like that out of the backfield would add a lot of interesting things to this offense. Especially with Juscszyk out there at the same time.
Go out there with those two, Kittle and Garcon and Goodwin and it's a tough ask for a defense.
But whether it's Samuels or someone else I really hope we hit the RB position in this class. It's deep and it's talented. Don't know what we'll do with Carlos but I don't want to trust that Joe Williams is a player. I want us to add talent and if he steps up then awesome but if not that way we're not scrambling and filling in guys off the street.
Barkely and Guice aren't in play for us IMO.
But Ronald Jones, Sony Michel, Rashaad Penny, Jaylen Samuels, Akrum Wadley, Ito Smith…i'd love to have as a niner.
Plenty of other talented backs out there as well but right now those guys are my favorites for this team but I'm not done lol.

There are actually some interesting RB’s in free agency besides Bell and Hyde. Alfred Morris, Dion Lewis, Rex Burkhead and Jerick McKinnon.

Would hate to sign one of the lesser FA backs for big money and see the youngsters play well for other teams.
I like Hyde but I feel like he'd want starter money and he may not be worth paying that here.

There’s a lot of hype for 4 QB’s in this draft so we might get lucky with all of them going before our pick. Might be unlikely but I feel confident 3 of them will go for sure. I’d really like to get Fitzpatrick or Chubb.

How far does SF get next year? Assuming a good draft class, pick up a needed player or two. Get into the playoffs as a wild card? Win their division? Make the SB?

Especially considering we haven’t seen the off-season yet but if the off-season goes as I hope I think we’ll compete with LA for the division.
We have a ton of cap room and good draft picks. We should be able to fill quite a few holes AND we’re a young team. Good chance some of the young guys on defense get better, and Kittle and Goodwin on offense could be a little better. Plus we get Garçon back.
My dream offseason is centered around AR15, Andrew Norwell, Bradley Chubb and a corner in the 2nd round.
I think Seattle is going to be on the decline. Their defense has blown up and their offensive line is still awful. That team will be held together by Wilson but they won’t be a SB contender unless they can fix a lot of things fast.

The offense is already legit just with Jimmy, I'm assuming we're going to improve the OL and running game and that should make things even more dangerous along with Jimmy being more comfortable with the system and the players out there with him.
Defense has more to prove but if we can find a legit pass rusher, add corner help and just get improvement from guys like Thomas as a rusher it can take a quick big step forward as well.
Of course chit can completely fall apart with a key injury or two
I'm excited for the season but niners have been a bit snake bit on the injury front lately. Hopefully trading for Jimmy GQ totally turned their luck around.

Next year's schedule also looks pretty tough…
Obviously Rams, Cards and Seattle then
Bears - should be a W
Broncos - should be a W but if they sign Cousins and their D is back in top shape they can be brutal
Lions - should be much better with Patricia at HC but winnable.
Giants - honestly I can see this team being back to playoff form or middle of the pack.
Raiders - ditto…offense can be dangerous and D has some pieces. We'll see what Gruden can do there.
@Packers - at Green Bay is never fun. Against Aaron Rodgers is never an easy game. Hard to tell where GB will be but I'm thinking loss right now
@Vikings - That defense will be a real test on the road.
@Chiefs - Hard to know how Mahomes will be at QB but they'll be a dangerous team and their defense can be pretty good again with guys coming back healthy.
@Chargers - one of the hottest teams in the 2nd half of this season.
@Buccs - who knows.
Hard to know where Card and Seattle will be next year. Rams will be the top dog until someone knocks them off. Seattle is still a good team with Wilson but lots of changes coming for them so hard team to figure out. Hell Cards can be right back to a solid team if they find a QB somehow(not so easy granted)
On paper looking at our schedule I'm thinking
6-8 wins between the teams listed above. I think we can go 4-2 within the divison for a 10-11 win season.
Of course will be easier to figure out where we stand come training camp. I think it was the 2009-2010 season when I was really excited thinking we were in for something big and we threw up a chit season.
Still….having Jimmy G certainly brings excitement and high hopes.

I think we can sweep AZ and split the series with SEA and LA. 4-2 in the division sounds possible.
The combination of excitement for the new season and indifference for either team in the SB feels like the offseason already. I'm looking forward to the draft more than I am to the SB.
