1968 Patek Philippe 2451J

Not mine unfortunately. Father bought it on consignment and had it shipped to me cause dat dere Oregon address and I'm "holding it" for a few months. Looks a little dainty on my wrist though. But I might still wear it anyways.

Gunna let run all the way through its reserve (42 hours on the one I got my bruddah) and see how it does. If it's good to go, then I'll tackle sizing the pin&collar OEM bracelet. Not looking forward to that.

Is it worth $330 + $30 shipping CAD? or should I look at something else for that that price. The SKX00's are around $290 CAD free shipping on amazon.

I had free shipping and no tax was collected. $250 USD converts to $333 CAD.

I never looked at an SKX. I wanted the modern edition of Capt. Willard's watch.

Hey guys, so I'm looking into buying my next watch around christmas. I have been looking at the Casio Oceanus. It's around $500. I love the black look with the blue accents. Also it has some pretty cool features.

Do y'all have any other recommendations for watch in this price range? I would prefer automatic, but im not too worried about a quartz movement. Or have y'all heard good things about this watch?

Question about sizing a bracelet:

Three links are being removed: two from one side of the clasp, and one link from the other side.

Is there a general rule about which part of the bracelet should be longer after removing an odd number of links?
Which should be longer: the six-end of the bracelet, or the twelve-end?

It depends on the watch and your wrist really, but most likely the 6. You can usually adjust the clasp by a few pins anyway which can help even it out.

Your best option is to get a pin tool so you can do it yourself and just trial and error it. It's not difficult.

As mentioned below it depends on the shape of your wrist and where you want the clasp to land relative to the case. Personaly i like them to be centered, one on top of my wrist one on the bottom. the size and shape of the case will also be a factor in which side is shorter.

edit: i mean the post above not below

Looking for a nice dress watch. Already have an Orient Mako which I love. I can't decide between the Orient Bambino, Tissot Visodate, and the Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic. Driving me crazy, can't stop thinking about them lol.
It's absurd to worry about what other people think about you because they almost never do. Like you, they are too busy thinking about themselves and how much they think other people are thinking about them.
